Great app until the last Apple update. The app crashes every time I try to use it. In its current state it is basically useless and apparently the developers want to make you pay to upgrade to their fix. I would not buy.
Just wait till they make another version and charge you for it like always.
I totally enjoy this app; any time I forget how awesome it is, I remember how good it is after an occasional look at the official client. Cleanness and simplicity of Tweetbot come as striking contrast to clutter and ads of the official client. After all of that I can't see the reason why there appeared so many negative comments lately. Functionality of Tweetbot 3 remains the same; as for Tweetbot 4, I feel like it's worth of each of 999 cents the authors require. The desire to improve the average rating of my most favourite application, actually, is what inspired me to write my first comment in App Store.
I've paid for Tweetbot 2 and Tweetbot 3...I shouldn't have to pay for another separate app because you decide to update it once a year or so. And $9.99?? I don't want a bundle discount, I want the loyal paying users to be taken care of instead of taken advantage of.
