This is the ultimate analog style drum machine emulation on iOS, because not only does it offer an excellent variety of options that you might expect from a drum synthesizer, it also really has it's own sound! 5/5

Essential app for electronic musicians

Obis11

As an electronic sample generator tweakybeat is one of the best I've ever had the privilege of using. It's logical, self explanatory, simplistic to use, I could compliment tweakybeat all day. I do really feel its a hugely useful tool because its possible to create highly usable samples and beats that rival even ielectribe (I am only comparing to ielectribe because its acclaimed as one of the best generated drum machines for iOS). Also keep in mind I am not talking about sample based apps like beatmaker, I am referring to apps that fully generate samples in my comparisons. The absolute top of my wish list would be the addition of an LFO in some variant or just generally any kind of beat matched oscillation that can be applied to pitch, waveform, noise ect.. If tweakybeat had automatable parameters, midi, and any kind of polyphony, tweakybeat would hands down be a more useful app than just about any other mobile drum app I have used. I don't know if anyone else cares about this, but I prefer to use 24bit samples when I can... if possible I would like the option of rendering in 24bit or higher. Also I would love to see beat matched echo, and a basic reverb. Maybe that's a lot to ask for but tweakybeat has made huge improvements that I never imagined would happen. The past several updates to tweakybeat were like Christmas for me. Audio copy is awesome, the distortion is harsh and delightfully gritty, and the randomize tool is the icing of the cake. Using randomize makes Tweakybeat capable of making parts that extend for several minutes that never loop or repeat (if you know what your doing). This aspect of tweakybeat is more useful to me than just about any other digital drum machine I have used. Moving saved sessions between devices rocks, something many other mobile drum / synth apps lack BTW. I use tweakybeat all the time now and I would place it at the top of my list for essential music making apps. If you don't have tweakybeat yet and you produce any kind of electronic-ish music, freaking buy it already.

Like it but...

I like this app a lot. Works well, but well I when I used the paste function into other apps, such as studio.M, it crashed that app. I tried pasting to SpaceSampler and the copying to studio.M, but still crashing. I will continue to use and play with and try out. I really like the random function and it is fun to experiment with. UPDATE: It appears to have something to do with the duration of the recorded sample. Works better with a sample with a longer duration than 3 seconds. All in all, I'd buy it again.

Great
