It’s been good but now all of the sudden it says “Connection Secured” but it’s not actually working.

TunnelBear is a VPN that I have used in the past for work, but as security and privacy have become ever more concerning, I have chosen this one again. A VPN causes your internet traffic to travel further, causing a slight slowdown, and VPN’s that claim otherwise are lying. That said, the speed difference is usually unnoticed, even with video or file downloads. I like that it optionally automatically connects. I can further optionally use or not use the VPN with cellular as opposed to WiFi, where the security and privacy on public WiFi is usually the main concern for me. There are a lot of choices in this space, so it’s important to use a service that has been independently evaluated like TunnelBear. You can use TunnelBear for a limited amount each month, either if your needs are minimal, or to try before you buy. I highly recommend that you try TunnelBear yourself. You can use it on MAC, Windows, iOS, and Android. Try it now!

I don’t know if it’s Apple iOS downloads that could be causing problems or this app but I thought the reason to have a VPN was to be protected while using unsecured WiFi; well quiet the opposite is happening when it comes to my iPad Mini. I’ve updated this app and update it whenever it’s needed so I don’t know what else can be done to keep this app from not automatically turning on when I turn my data off and use WiFi. Sometimes it will not turn on when I use data and turn WiFi off as well. This happens all to often. Am so frustrated .
Horrible! Plenty of better options around.

I strongly suggest NOT subscribe to Tunnel Bear. -Never had the chance to get the location I subscribe for. -Many time they connect you in awkward locations. I needed certain country but despite saying you are connected there, when checking on IP location service, the connection was in completely different country. -After trying many times, I decided to cancel, but I was not elegible for a redound because of the agreement. -For the same price, you will have a way better options with lots of locations. VyprVPN is excellent (now I know). -Awful costumer service. Lack of respect with too colloquial manners when I was serous in the matter. I hope this helps.

Bought TunnelBear unlimited today and I can say that this VPN is great. I never have connection issues. It is cheap in comparison to ExpressVPN, I also get very fast speeds. This is an excellent option for anyone who doesn’t want to pay 2x the price on ExpressVPN.
