I like what Tuenti is doing as an MVNO. They offer super cheap plans and very generous rates with their digital voice/SMS services. This approach seems like the best way to operate a phone service in 2015. However, the functionality of the app could use much improvement. The interface is inconsistent with menus sliding in from the left side but others that do not. There are many inconsistencies throughout the app. It also freezes up in some menus, I'm assuming this is because the app is loading a webpage but will often not let you return back to the previous menu. While the VozDogital international calling is really cool, it seldom works. I have tried to call several Greece numbers and they all just say "call ended" immediately after I press "call". It doesn't even make an attempt to connect the call. This also happens very frequently with Spanish numbers it most go through. Another very annoying thing is that you cannot easily send an SMS using the app. You must first be friends with the receiver on Tuenti or they must be in your phone book. This is stupid. What if I just need to send a one time SMS to a person who is not in my address book? This makes sending SMS very very annoying and non functional. PS the new icon is childish and ugly. Overall I really like the app and service that Tuenti provides.

My spanish phone number works transparently (and without roaming charges) through this app wherever I have wifi. You can receive and send calls and texts from anywhere and people won’t know you’re abroad. This is THE BEST PHONE SERVICE IN THE WORLD.
