Please just add the ability to like videos and comments and this is a 5 star app. If I could give a 4.5 now I would. ---- Spoke too soon. Google got to you the day after I found this app. Can't penalize you too much for just following orders but I can't act like the app is as good either without key functionality. Unfortunately Google has made it impossible for any other app but theirs to be anything better than a 3 star product by being greedy for money they and won't get and don't deserve.

No more audio playback in the background

Background audio playback was removed. That's not cool, DELETED THE APP

I know it's Google's fault that you had to remove the background playback feature but now it has pretty much zero use and is just an uglier version of the actual YouTube app

Now that the background feature is gone I have no use for this app. Please find away to bring back this feature.

When it launched, this app was almost a necessity for mediaphiles like myself. YouTube at the tip of the fingers AND playable anywhere even with the iPhone locked. Now it's only claim to fame has been removed, what's the point of the app now? Just because Google asked you to, doesn't mean you should always automatically fold over and give them what they want. One star until you guys smarten up (& lawyer up), fight this, and reinstate background audio.

Used to love this app but now deleted since I can't play music in the background anymore

Don't update if you have the older version

This app is great if you don't upgrade to the newest version. Background play was removed in the newest update

Still much better than Google. I'm not going to update it, and I'm glad I signed in. Just because Google is bullying developers doesn't mean this app is suddenly trash. It still has many great features over the horrid Google app.
