It’s not a bad app at all to be honest. I’m the type of person that enjoys watching their subscriptions and what’s trending. However the only issue I have with the app is that you can not pause the video at all and there’s no time video line where you’re able to see specific parts of the video. If you are able to make changes where the pause button, full screen, and video player time line showed up on the actual video when the user taps on it instead of it having underneath on portrait and not show up at all when the phone is turned sideways, this app would be drastically improved.

YouTube ridiculously removed the ability to organize subscriptions into categories or groups in 2015 and hasn’t provided an alternative since. There are 3rd party options for the desktop version of chrome, but nothing for iOS. Tubot is a very capable, feature rich alternative to the iOS YouTube app, but the fact that you can organize your YouTube subscriptions into groups in Tubot is the only reason I downloaded it. This feature works great in the app. Unfortunately the Tubot video player can’t use chromecast so the app doesn’t work for my needs, but if you just watch on your phone then Tubot is great.

It has replaced the old YouTube app I used to use, but there are somethings that could make this app better. For one, there needs to be a section for "recommended" videos. Also, I'm not a huge fan of seeing my history when I want to search for a video, I can see how it could be helpful, so maybe an option on that would be nice. Once the "recommended" section is implemented this will be the best YouTube app out there.
