Very nice Go problem app

MartialDoc

I’ve had this for a year or so now and am quite a big fan of it. It has a good amount of practice problems and the best part is the daily problems that are sent to you! My only complaints are three: 1) The harder problems are not explained in detail. This can present a problem if you are just starting off on more difficult problems and are not sure why a certain move is incorrect. 2) Problems are not always graded well. I’ve seen some pretty easy hard problems that are solved almost instantly and yet some medium, or even easy, problems that are quite difficult! 3) Fortunately, this is only a rare problem but, sometimes, there can be more than one solution yet the app only accepts one way of solving it. This is quite rare though, so it’s not a huge issue. Other than these issues, it is an excellent app!

Intriguing!

Challenges me to think differently. I rarely win but will keep trying!????

Great Go program.

Great go problems, would benefit from more context

ditherduther

A steady supply of problems to challenge, and a moves guide is available if you’re not sure what to do. My only complaint is the lack of any explanatory notes, either in the way of objectives for problems or explanations as to why a given problem may be “solved.” If, like me, you’re new to go, some problems in this app will be very hard to understand. Best used in conjunction with other resources to help understand the game.

I totally agree with the other reviews. Read them all. I too would like to add my request for something that explains why my move was wrong and theirs correct. It would go a long way towards my improving my GO skills.

Nice interface, faulty content

Dk31415

The interface is very reliable and easy to use. Considered as an app, this product is very nice. Unfortunately the quality control on the actual go problems is not great, especially at the Intermediate level. There are a number of duplicate problems. Solutions that clearly work are marked wrong, while suboptimal solutions are marked correct. It would be great to add a feedback channel so that there is some hope of correction.

Excellent way to learn go

Highly recommended

Good App

SuzanneRaye

There haven’t been any bugs and technical issues. I really like the problems and the clues to tell you if a move was right or wrong- super helpful for me as I’m learning the game. The only thing I’d prefer is if there was an option to change the size of the board and to actually be able to play a go game from scratch.

Great for learning

I'm a beginner and have already learned a ton by doing daily puzzles.
