Pictures the most important

Noon2107

So basically you’re shopping online on the app but the fact you can’t max the pics and zoom in is a total let down. Would buy but not worth it on a cheap app.

Just a lead machine for dealers, awful user experience

Wolf tiger Shark

Waste of time. Doesn't show you what you are filtering for, simply shows you inventory from dealers who are paying to have their inventory shown. Then you get endlessly harassed by dealers afterward.

Doesnt work

C@ptain Eddi3

The app downloads but doesn’t work. All I get a retry button and a message that says “no network connection. Well I know I have Internet connection because how else would I be able to type of this review? The app needs an update

Garbage app

Jo-ze

Useless! Craigslist is better than this garbage. Edmunds.com is a much better quality app n product

No need to take over speaker control

jiffyhippo

Suggest that app doesn’t need control over speakers. When I open the app it stops playing what I’m listening to.

Mediocre Functionality

AstroMan87

The functionality is mediocre. First - you search for a particular model/color/package and it still shows you other colors and cars slightly related to your search... annoying. Second - there’s menu options to view saved searches and builds, but saving those searches and builds is not intuitive and maybe impossible. I still can’t figure out how to save a search. Additionally, as other have said, they’ll quickly distribute your information to dealers and you’ll be receiving emails/calls immediately. The ONLY positive I’ve found on this app is the possibility of $500 cash back bonus by purchasing a car through the app. I’ve yet to do this but it supposedly works. Generally terrible app though, so I’m worried about attempting it.

Get ready to answer the phone

Robbed without a blindfold

Do not use! They will sell your information to every dealer within 150 miles. You’ll get phone calls text messages and emails for months. You can tell the dealers to stop calling you but they won’t because you’re alive sales lead. Doesn’t matter if you’re on the federal do not call list they keep calling. The only way I have found to stop the calls is to just cuss them out over and over. This is too bad because I am having to destroy relationships that I may want to utilize in the future.

Don’t give them your phone number or email

ReallyApple???

You don’t need to put your personal info in to see the low price. If you do put your personal info in you will receive texts and email about cars you’re not even interested in. I was interested in a Jetta SEL Premium, I got spammed for the S model, the least expensive and with the least amount of features. Not what I was looking for.

Not on your side

Senican

Truecar makes money by selling your information to dealerships. They are not on your side. Use CarGurus instead.

The app itself is trash

Trash App. Better off with opening the website in Safari
