Easy to use, extremely intuitive and fast. It definitely is worth using for selling a car. In my opinion it's the best app on the market!
Awful - insulting - waste of time - avoid

You get drawn in by all kinds of hype. Spend a lot of time putting your car up on the app taking photos from 12 different angles that you can only do on the spot in one go (not upload any pre-existing photos from your photo library since you already have a TON! side you’re already selling the car elsewhere as well!) filling out all kinds of info… then you get ONE horrible offer from a dealer that’s nearly 50% of your car’s market value. Are they joking?!?! A total waste of my time and hugely disappointing. Like others who reviewed the other side of the company’s offerings: the “TruCar” App where buyers can search for cars from dealers this company ONLY SERVES the SCAMMY DEALERS not you the consumer. Stay away. Avoid this awful, nasty, insulting, waste-of-time business.
Good concept but not executed well by the dealerships

The app is fairly easy to use. It guides you through the process of appraising your own vehicle. You take several photos of the car and give the condition. That is all good until you actually get the number back from the so called several dealerships that bid on your car. I had already had it appraised at 2 dealerships for $15,000 and the price I got from the app was $11,800 for my car. I feel like I wasted my time with this app.

The service is way too new to be useful. All you get is low ball offers from less than attractive dealerships. Its going to be a long time until the dealer base grows to be competitive enough to make any of this useful. Such a shame, great concept, no execution.
I wish I had

True car gave the highest offer I unfortunately went to an out of town dealership I took their offer since I had already made the trip. True car would save time and money.

This is a big waste of time. Took my time to fill out. Submitted it. Then absolutely nothing. They should change the name of this to TrueCar Sell to TrueCar Sell It Yourself.
Waste of time

This app is a fail. Got two error messages, neither of which could be resolved by in-house tech department. Currently waiting 72 hours for out-of-house tech to figure it out. Good idea, bad execution.
Best way to sell a car

I use true car for their new car buying and was great there. It is also great for selling! I am using their true trade service. Get offers for your car without leaving the house!
