Just like it was years ago, with improvements. Wish there were more games like these, no in app purchases, best 12 bucks I ever spent.
Great until it crashes half way through

Love this game but it crashed halfway through my first two games and deleted all my saved data when doing so. So be prepared to invest several hours in this game all to unexpectedly have it crash and delete everything before you can finish. It happened during both times during an auto save. Also crashed when I tried to manually save my game and deleted the file. Ridiculous

Love the game... it is really fun, but!!! But!!! It FREAKING CRASHES LIKE ALOT! I have the new I pad pro 2018 12.9 and it crashes a lot especially late game. It got to point where I cant finish the last 3 years of my game because it crashes like every time....... early game never crashes.. mid game it crashed on me once... and in the end game its crashing everytime it autosaves or just out of nowhere... and the worst thing is that it deletes all progress and auto saves.. I have to save the game manually everytime I do something new.... One of the first sandbox game mode I played, I didn’t know about the crashing so I didn’t save much... BUT late mid~early late game.. the game crashed and completely erased my entire progress and autosaves...I only had one save file from early game..and I didn’t play the game the whole day “mourning” my loss. I ended started new games afterwards and NOW I’m finding myself saving manually more than I am actually playing the game in fear of losing my progress... please fix this.. I would give this game a 5/5 stars if it didn’t crash every min during the late game. I WANT TO FINISH MY GAME, but i cant cuz its crashes so much!!!!!! PLEASE FIX

I have been playing Tropico since it came out on pc. Even played it on the xbox. I love the game. I would like to see some type of terrain tool. It can be very frustrating when i am trying to create a path though a mountain and I am unable to do so because of the angle of some sections. Also it would be great if i could start out with the flat map and create mountains where I want to instead of the preloaded maps with mountains.

Edited 2019-01-15: The latest version seems to have fixed the crashing. Back up to 5 stars! The dev team has been very responsive. Original review: Gameplay is amazing. Artwork is great. Music, spectacular. Why then only two stars? Because this is the 3rd time in as many days that the game has crashed on me after several hours of play, and since there are apparently no autosaves in sandbox mode, I've lost all my progress. Fix this bug and it's a 5-star game, 6 if they allowed it.

Can you put cheat codes in it like in the pc it will said please put cheat code you can use cheat codes from the tropico in pc so it makes more easy to do it. Pls

Until it’s stops crashing on basic sandbox play, it will get 1 star from me- you shouldn’t even release games w this many bugs, and surely not for the price they’re asking...
Excellent adaptation for iPad

This has become one of, if not my favorite games on iPad. If you are into simulation city builders this is a must own. The graphics are console quality and the touch controls are spot on. It is a rarity when a PC game comes to iOS and you are not hindered by touch controls. If anything, I feel they enhance this game. The game play is fun and there is a lot of replay value here. I have read a lot about crashing and losing saved game data but I have not experienced any of this. I am playing on a brand new iPad Pro 12.9” with the A12x chip so this may have something to do with it. Also, recent updates are aimed at these issues. The only issue I see is battery drain. If I am playing for longer than 30 minutes I will usually have to plug my iPad into power but this is to be expected with such a graphics intense game. I am pretty surprised they were able to pull this off at all (although I shouldn’t be after seeing what Feral Interactive has done with Tomb Raider on Mac). Great job bringing excellent games to Mac and iOS. Can’t wait to see what is next!
