Amazing movie service!

Tribeca Shortlist is pretty great... This is the most thoughtful movie service, with a curated catalogue of movies and insightful recommendations from actors and directors each month guiding you on what great movies to watch that you might have missed when they first came out. And I can download ALL of the movies to watch offline on an airplane! Bloody amazing!

There are a ton of great movies in this app. Some I've seen before but many I have not. Love the shortlist movie recommendations. They make finding a movie easy. The SL icon tells you which movies have been recommended. Worked great with my new iPad and syncs with AppleTV now. Also, downloads are so clutch.
Nope not worth a penny

Charged me for a month but says i dont have a subscription. What a ripoff. Their streaming abilities just not ready for prime time. Wait on this one till they get up to speed. I purchased through itunes for the newest apple tv. The only app so far not working properly. Save your money
Great movie options

I've been using this app for a couple months now and I've been loving it so far. I've never considered myself a film buff but I feel like I've become one just by watching directors and actors talk about their favorite movies. I've watched so many movies I hadn't even heard of before, only because the shortlisters have recommended them. One of my favorite movies so far was actually a doc that Brett Ratner shortlisted called The Wild and Wonderful Whites of West Virginia. I would have never thought twice about watching it until I saw him talk about why he liked it so much. There is such a good range of movies on here too. From classics like The Graduate and The Usual Suspects to indies like Sound City and She's Gotta Have It. Even older movies like Some Like it Hot with Marilyn Monroe. There are so many on here that I've never even seen on Netflix. And unlike Netflix, I don't have to search forever to find something to watch. The coolest part though is that I can download any of the movies onto my phone and watch them while commuting to work on the subway or when I'm traveling on a plane. I've never been able to do that with any other movie streaming app and it makes my commute one hundred times better. It really is worth the few bucks a month I pay for it. A couple hundred great movies for the price of one movie rental on iTunes? It's a no brainer.

Love the movie choices across the different genres. Get to watch great films that I never heard of or didn't know much about. Awesome app!!

This is awesome. With this app, I am getting a chance to catch up on great films I have not yet seen before. Because of a lack of time, I often feel bummed that I have missed watching a lot of well known, movies that my friends and family are caught up on. Thank you Tribeca Shortlist! I am loving the selection and directors/actor recommendation feature that is involved. It really helps point me in the right direction when it comes to what I am in the mood to watch.
