"Transcribe+ is an elegant solution for learning music by ear" -AppAdvice.com

Transcribe+ is a slow downer and pitch shifting app to help you learn any piece of music by ear. It does away with cumbersome buttons and tiny sliders in favor of direct manipulation and interaction with the music.

Simply swipe left/right to adjust the speed, and up/down to adjust the pitch. Tap the waveform at anytime to freeze the music and drag slowly to listen at any speed- even one note at a time! Flag the waveform to mark the form of the song or add your own custom notes. Easily set a loop area to practice a certain section over and over.

Transcribe+ is build on native iOS audio frameworks with extensive low level customizations for the best possible sound quality even at the slowest speeds.

Features:

Adjust Speed from 0.25x - 2x without changing pitch
Adjust Pitch up or down 6 semitones to play the piece in every possible key
Zero time
Flag the waveform with your own notes for later review
Loop any area of the song instantly for efficient practice
Export Loops or Entire Tracks
Split-screen multitasking for iPad
Dropbox, Google Drive and iCloud integration

Transcribe+ is a free trial download with limitations. Unlock everything with a single in-app purchase.

Note: Transcribe+ does not work with DRM tracks or streaming services. Tracks must be downloaded to the device.

Not worth $14

Limited number of pitches available. Clumsy interface with respect to selecting songs and can only loop small section at a time. Not the best app of this sort I’ve ever used but my number 1 isn’t iOS 12 compatible.

I really, really love this app so much but 1 thing...
AquaBearx3

I love this app so much it’s amazing but I think there should be an update where you could make the pitch and speed stuff unlimited without paying. Or maybe lower the price a bit.

Can’t use on garageband

This app lets me slow down the whole track but if it doesn’t let me drop and drag the audio file onto the first layer

Worth every penny

This app is amazing and has made transcribing songs SO much easier. The features that allow you to alter playback speed, change pitch, and create loops are incredibly useful. I consider the app a must-have for anyone who regularly transcribes music of any genre. It could also be used to transcribe spoken words.

Won't download all of my music
Tyranitar3748

This app is wonderful, and the $10 for the full version I don't mind at all. However, when I go to choose music, it only allows gives me access to specific songs in my library. There are songs I have definitely downloaded and they don't show up, and even when I create a playlist, none of the songs show up on the app. I will change this to a perfect 5 stars once I have access to all of my music

Worth the $10

Great app. Easy to use. Can you please make it so that the sound continues if the app is minimized or the screen is locked?

Worth $10

I've been working on some difficult fingerstyle guitar pieces and this app is precisely what I needed to figure out sequences at a slower speed. The time stretching is quite good and the notes are very clear even at half speed. The developers deserve to get paid so I don't see why other reviewers expect this to be a free app. Worth every penny!

Great for Ghost box review work!
Donny10000

I use this for reviewing recordings I make from my ghost box. I share the file from my recording app to Transcribe+ and can slow parts down or change the pitch and loop a section to understand what is said easier. I also use the flag feature to mark interesting parts and you can even name the flags. Works great for that! A+

My “go to” for lifting tunes.

Pro musician transcribing big band charts. This is THE app I use until something better comes along. I look for Intuitive apps that don’t require hours to learn. Swipe left to slow down; right to change pitch; tap to flag a section and label it as you choose; tap to Loop, and it automatically sets a 10 sec loop. You can adjust the loop with dragging tabs at both ends of the loop. It’s that easy. Back to my Maynard chart, take care!

Simple and intuitive
sturgis85

This app does almost everything I need for practicing and transcribing - and in contrast to a more full-featured app I have, I don't have to go find a tutorial each time I use it. Great! Personally, the only thing I'd like to make this perfect for me is to add (maybe an optional) pad at the end of each loop - a few second pause that lets my hands, fingers, and mind reset before digging in again. But I'm in awe of the simplicity and basic functionality. (And "boo" to the people that complain they have to pay for more than 45 seconds. Providing a free full-featured test version is a great way to go. Pay up, losers!)
