For the first week or so, workouts were uploading and integrating into the app just fine. Now, it’s VERY hit and miss... mostly miss. Frustrating, as the app could provide some excellent data. Feel, so far, like the app has some bugs re: automatic integration. Bummer.
My coach puts in my triathlon training schedule each week. Then I take great pleasure moving some of the workouts around. It’s very easy. I can leave comments about the workouts for him and notes for me. We can monitor fatigue which usually matches up with my crankiness. I’ve used for 3 years now- one year on own and 2 with a coach. I appreciate having all the data in one place.
At 54 years of age I’m not old but certainly older. Over-training combined with heavy outdoor work I have low spine degeneration and hip issues. In my mind I want to run like years past but that most likely is not possible. What is possible is for me to train smarter, effective and more efficient. In addition to, specific targeted nutrition and strength training, and rest. I’ve got nutrition handled but all of my training rest solely on Dave Warden and my 8020 Endurance plan. No matter of your age or ability, 8020 Endurance is the best directive to help you become the best you can be. Embrace where you are in your current ability. Embrace each training day, including rest days. And, rejoice not only when performance improves but also that you are able to go out and run. Jack
This app revolutionized the planning and communication between athlete and coach. It is super easy to use and syncs without any problem between TP and Garmin connect.
Please make an Apple Watch app for training peaks ?
It is great getting ready for the day and knowing exactly what your workout will be. No thinking involved.
The absolutely best training app for anybody that is serious about getting the full benefit out of a training plan.
I just started using training peaks. My coach Lindsay shared the app with me from no limit endurance and I’ve been amazed at how awesome the statistics are. I love being able to go back after a work out and see all the details. Combined with my Garman Fenix 6 Watch, the combination is unbeatable! I was a believer on day one.
I’ve been a premium subscriber for many years. Love the app and it helps me stay motivated.
