We got married in December, honeymoon in January and started at 18 month trip after that. We used trail wallet for the all three as separate trips and LOVE IT! For the 18 month trip it really helps us see if we are on track, but the real value is that when my wife and I talk about expenses, the facts are in front of us! We don't have to guess. The app crashed once when I tried to extend the 18 months, but the data is saved continuously, so while I had heart failure for my data, everything was still there! Great design. If you are taking a trip and tracking your spending is valuable, then there is no other option. I tried another app briefly but this was way better. New updates have come out that gave us additional value. Get this app and be disciplined with it, you will love it!

Trail Wallet is easy to use, and helped us stay under budget on a trip! You can track daily spending, and see your average for the trip. Lovely design -- made budgeting enjoyable.

Wouldn't let me delete trips anymore

I'm not sure if this is a way the app is trying to get me to upgrade to the free version, but after over a year of using the app and just deleting trips after I'm done the app has suddenly stopped allowing me to delete trips. Of course, this means that I can't do anything else unless I pay to upgrade. It'll say I deleted a trip but when I go to the home page again the trip is mysteriously still listed. Shame, since I really enjoyed the app and it helped me keep track of my vacation spending, but I can't deal with it anymore if it's going to be this much of a pain.

I consider myself a seasoned traveler who always does a decent job of managing my travel budget. That usually last for two days however, with Trail Wallet I am doing a superb job of managing my budget in every country and city I spend money in. It has a well designed user friendly interface that practically does all the thinking for you. It's actually a lot of fun to use and takes seconds to update. Being able to backup to the cloud takes the worry out of losing all the data in case you lose your phone. The workflow logic prevents you from accidentally adding expenses to trips with different setup dates. By the way I love being able to have different trips. I was also pleasantly surprised to see you can have multiple Tags. Anyone who uses Quicken knows the importance of adding classes Trail Wallet calls them Tags. Exporting to a CSV and filtering will allow allow you to breakdown expenses by Tag this is great when there are multiple travelers using one budget...you can track individual expenses. Great job guys Thank you!

We have been traveling Southeast Asia for 8 weeks and couldn't imagine how much money we would be going through if we didn't have this app to keep up with our expenses. It helps us make our money go longer as it shows us what we are spending and it helps us keep track of how much we have left. We recommend this app to all of our friends we meet along our travels.

I travel internationally a fair bit. After downloading 7 apps I finally found Trail Wallet. It does everything I need as I change currencies. I love how easy it is to setup. I like it so well that I've got 3 others to download it also.
