Went from favorite to meh

I’ve been using this app since the previous version before pro. I’ve loved it since the beginning, but as new updates come out, I find it to be more and more glitchy and unresponsive. I’ve been having major issues getting it to keep its connection with ableton. I’ve tried every solution listed in the help forum. If it was a free app, I wouldn’t complain. But I’ve spent money on both versions and would at least appreciate an update to all of our user concerns. Much respect to the developers though no doubt.

simply put, this is garbage.

this app doesn’t work on my ipad pro 10.5 (ios 12.2). it crashes constantly on startup, and i can only get it to load after powering my ipad on and off — and even then, it’ll only load once before it starts crashing (so if i exit the app, i have to reboot my ipad to get it to work again). i’ve submitted crash logs to the devs and made a forum post on their site about this, but i’ve not heard back from them. i applied for a refund on the app store, but i was told the purchase didn’t qualify to be refunded. this is most expensive app i’ve ever purchased.. and it doesn’t ducking work ? go figure. it’s an unreal waste of 30$. i should’ve bought touchosc instead. until this gets fixed, stay away from this app.

Worth the Upgrade

I was a big fan of touchable 3, and was honestly shocked and disappointed when I saw this was a completely new release... however, after biting down and paying the additional $30; I’m so glad I did. The support for the new and improved ableton 10 is incredible, plus the new version comes with the “upgrade” layout options, normally found in TA3 for an extra $15. This app literally gives you controls you didn’t even know you needed! It’s elegant in design, runs well, hasn’t been crashing, and has given me an expanded set of functionality in the studio. The wireless server has been communicating flawlessly between an old iOS10 (4th gen) iPad and Windows 8 system, using rtpMIDI. To make things faster / smoother, I set up an old router as a dedicated “music net” - which doesn’t connect to the internet, and has no other systems on it. I’m also working this same developer’s app “studiomux” into the mix - to loop midi and pull synth sounds from my iPhone 6s. This app is still being updated as of this post (extremely important!!), and I’m truly amazed with how far this level of control has come. $30 is a small investment, considering how deep this program goes. I’m glad to support, and can’t wait to see where this goes. @codypmack
