New “free” version NOT an improvement

As much as I enjoyed the original app, this update is awful. Let me list a few items - — you cant select the topic you want compete in. The game forces you to play a category — I havent found a way customize my settings. Cant turn off the awful music and my avatar is gone — havent found help text anywhere — point awards are very low ( like 5 points a question) and prize costs are extremely high ( in the millions) — the user interface has nowhere to find help on how to play or select option. I couldnt even find options. I resorted to just randomly selecting things to see if they would do anything — i got stuck in some kind of contest where you play against other people and people are eliminated in rounds where they cant answer the question. You are stuck in it for however many questions it takes to eliminate all but one person — you can buy coins but they are super expensive. Parents are going to have to watch this. The purchase are worded as “.05 coins 10,000. There is no price you will be paying listed. — the only thing I found that was simple was clicking on an empty heart at the top left corner of the screen. If you agree to watch an advertiser video, you will get a life. You start with one heart/life and can earn 2 more watching the advertising I will poke around at this a bit more but at this point I would not recommend this to anyone. There are better trivia games out there where you actually have a chance at winning something. (Winning 5 points a question will take a lifetime to get to a million plus coins you need to “buy” a prize. (I would tell you how i got to see the prize list or coin purchase but I don’t know how I did it)

I have been playing for years! I had 115,000+ points...they updated their games and CANCELED everyone’s points...I was saving for something ??

If I could give it zero stars I would. Since they changed just like other games it is no fun at all. They made a big mistake changing. I won’t play anymore

Absolutely loved it until the update. Now I spend most of the time on it watching ads. Thoroughly frustrating and disappointing.

Total trivia used to be a fantastic legitimate website and app that you could play to win prizes. They then started hyper-inflating the in game currency until no one wanted to play because the money you invested in the game was worthless a couple days later. It was a real place to win prizes against other people and have fun even if you lost. Now it is a shell of its former self and just another copy of the other crappy apps they created over the past year. This company will fail within a year. Either bring back the original total trivia at the original prices or close your doors for good. Thank you and have a good day..... -long time player

Getting used to the new game play, it’s growing on me. Very disappointed that I lost almost 160,000 points from the old game. If I knew I would have used them, I was saving to have enough to try for a prize I really wanted.
