Loved for years and new version is SOOO slow

sabjmb

I have used Toodledoo for years. New upgrade is a problem. My lists have over 100 items in them and they won’t load anymore, and if they do eventually, it takes 30+ seconds. Super frustrating! I may be looking for a new ToDo app.

Unresponsive tech support

A new update seems to have broken a key feature, and the company won’t respond to emails about the problem.

THANKS FOR RUINING MY LIFE

I’d give 0 stars if I could. ACTUALLY I’D SUE YOUR COMPANY IF I COULD!!! Planning for my Entire life was in the app and it is ALL GONE! You don’t know WHAT A NIGHTMARE AND EMBARRASSMENT YOU’VE CAUSED ME!!!! HOURS OF TIME WILL BE NEEDED TO BE SPENT CALLING ALL MY CLIENTS AND CONTACTS ETC. STEAMING MAD!!!!!!

Getting there

The newest release is getting closer, but still taking some steps backwards. One major issue remains for me: I was heavily dependent on sorting my tasks first by starred or not starred. This is fine. Then within the starred list I would sort by priority. This is still possible, but the mobile app no longer displays the priority visibly with the little colored triangles in the corner. It just sorts them and leaves you to wonder later what priority you assigned. You have to click on each task to actually see, which defeats the purpose of being able to visually see how you have sorted the list. Please bring this back for 5 stars! It must be easy!

Bring back priority colors! Please!

I have used this app for years and it’s generally very good. However I did not realize how reliant I was on the priority color coding (with little triangles you can see in the list view of tasks) until they removed it from this new version. Now I just have a long list of tasks, sorted by priority but I can’t for example quickly get a glimpse of my current top priority tasks. You have to click on each task one at a time now to see the priority color/level.

Toodledo Is Back

I’ve been a paid subscriber for over ten years. During this time I have also been a Toodledo evangelist, telling everyone I could about it. I absolutely love the app and use it daily on my iPhone and use the web app as well. I was able to customize it to use the GTD categories so it’s essentially now ingrained in my life and work. Recently, there was a significant bug with the previous update. I wrote the dev and received response that day. True to his word, the update dropped within a week. I read in the comments that there might be an issue with the update causing a loss of info. My solution was to simply delete the old app and download the new version. Once downloaded then logging on caused the app to synchronize properly without the loss of any data. As a backup, tho, I also viewed all tasks on the website and printed that view essentially as a report. This current update is great and has the added benefit of instant synchronization on opening of the app. While previously we had to manually synch, now it’s automatic. Again, I’ve been a long-term paid user and am reviewing this app now because I think that it’s a great app that suffered from one bad iteration. That’s been fixed. It’s great and I love it.

Excellent since 2009

I’ve been using this app, syncing with Outlook and iOS devices since 2009. I’ve used other task programs but this one beats all. Imagine my surprise today when I looked at one of my devices and only had two tasks. Not good. That could go really bad with syncing turned on. I went through the simple help section which told me to force the sync in the direction from the Toodledo website to the device and boom, all my tasks were back. I think that’s the only problem I’ve had in over a decade with Toodledo.

Data disappeared (twice)

It’s been a number of years since I started using this. What I remember was that you could purchase the app and run it locally on your phone without purchasing a synch to the cloud subscription So that’s how I was using it. Worked great for several years A year or so ago, I started using the list function. A few weeks later, the small list I had made disappeared. Small loss—don’t try that again, I said to myself Today, I found that all of my tasks, folders, outlines (everything) was gone. No notification from the app that it needed to be sync’d. What a total waste of time from an app designed to save you time

Used for 10 years but new updates not working

Naw103

I’ve used Toodledo for over 10 years, I’m a premium subscriber to their service and Always found it to be the best task management system out there until they got bought out and now more and more things keep getting broken or not working correctly. Definitely not the same level of dedication the founders put into maintaining this. My phone app will no longer stay in sync with the desktop app and shows 0 tasks until I do a forced sync from the server to my phone then a few days later goes back to 0 tasks and I have to force sync it again Major issues with this new version the app takes forever to show me my tasks each time I open it now and crashes constantly. Something as simple as checking off a repeating task now takes about 5 seconds to update and show the next task. You guys did a terrible job on this update and if these issues are not resolved soon I will have no option but to find a new task management system. Very disappointing.

STILL FREEZES Update WIPED OUT my info AND it FREEZES

This app STILL freezes up completely if I click on the Overdue section. Only a small part of my lost tasks came back. Am looking for a new planner app - I AM DONE!!! I want my information back! I want this app to WORK! Thankfully I only updated one device so I can use the old version. FIX the new version or this very long time user is leaving for an app that I can USE!
