I absolutely LOVE the original Tomb Raider games and this is just awesome to have on my iPhone. Needs tweaking to get the controls to work better, but it brings back some awesome gaming memories.

For fans of the originals, it's a great port. A few minor differences (if you're hanging off a ledge and press the "look" button, Lara will release her grip and plummet, even if you're still pressing the "hold" button.) One major drawback that actually prevents me from enjoying a childhood favorite: the "saved Gandalf feature is imperfect and frequently loses my progress, forcing me to backtrack over and over. Would be 5 stars without this issue.

In the old days I played out the first four Tomb Raider releases. This is a great game, and is identical to the original except for one flaw which I consider fatal... the controls are very very difficult. The challenge of the game is a combo of puzzles and acrobatic moves. The game requires precisely timed movements. The original was an addictive genre. This iOS port seems near impossible at the earliest stages. I doubt it's gonna hold many people's interest beyond that. But I love these games so much I wanna still give it a try lol. How could this game be improved? *What about allowing control using a Bluetooth keyboard? *What about allowing Lara to look around with swipes instead of pressing the "eye" button?

The controls are so terrible, you cannot even playing the training course. Skip it.

Awkward, bulky and inaccurate controls make this almost unplayable. This is a timing game and the controls make it unplayable. Too bad. Loved the orig. games. Was excited to relive this. Good thing only $.99.

Such nostalgia for me to play this and tomb raider 2 again. I really hope they release tomb raider 3 for iOS

Everyone - the controls are totally fine- just line up the buttons like a PS controller for the right thumb- problem solved.

Fantastic game! I was really impressed that this was available on iOS. Yes, the controls are tricky at first, but you get used to them once you continue to play. In fact, it's easier if you're already familiar with the classic TR controls. I've finished the game in September and never had an issue with saving/loading nor have I experienced any glitches (that I know of). My only complaint is the awkwardness of selecting your game when you save/load. You have to swipe up and down on the screen a few times to properly select your game. It can get frustrating at times. 5 stars from me.
