Two TNR are better than one!

more or less

Pretty weak of people to post poor reviews due to the new app. The point is you can use these two apps together! A blast to play and quite the bargain considering the original's cost. Currently on sale for half off, so I got both for the price of one!

MIDI bug fixed? MIDI? What MIDI?

Timex

My third review of this app: TNR-i-US has NOT supported MIDI since v. 1.4.4. I am at a loss as to how MIDI bugs can be fixed when MIDI is not supported. I've gone in circles with Yamaha customer support and can't get a straight answer out of anyone. It's like going through six English to Japanese and back Google translations. Someone is asleep at the wheel, but it is impossible to tell which hemisphere they are in.

Because selling musical software isn’t enough...

Blvvthe

…Yamaha has apparently decided to turn to selling eyeballs. I’m glad their update notes mentioned their privacy policy, because it wouldn’t have dawned on me that an otherwise reputable company in this day and age would have language like that in their privacy policy. Basically, there isn’t a privacy policy. Their language basically admits that they plan on selling as much of your personal information as they can get their greedy mitts on to any marketeers they like, and if you don’t like it, you can always click the unsubscribe link in the spam you’ll be getting. Other than that, it’s a fun app. :-P

Still no midi

jc_vt

Such potential wasted. When will they add MIDI out to the US version?

If you want to play Tenori On on iPad this is the way!

VJ Franz K

Re: other review The midi out feature does work, I use it all the time! This is a great music app designed after the amazing Tenori On hardware. It sounds near exactly alike. More people should use the NetJam feature, it's very interesting! Can we have cross import between TNR I files and TNR-i files? Also tap tempo would be really good.

Time for a re design

Aka monkey dope

This is so awesome but not !Heres when something appears to be really cool until that hideous interface becomes the huge buzz kill it is !like lots of Yamaha stuff has been lately kinda like ...what the?peace christo

MIDI works, not sure why people are complaining

Acemon

I was hesitant to purchase this, but after reading VJ Franz K's review (who has an enjoyable YouTube page, by the way) I decided to give it a shot. Sure enough, MIDI works just fine. You don't have much control over MIDI channels, but that's okay. Part 1 sends to MIDI CH 1, Part 2 sends to MIDI CH 2, etc… Works great. Definitely enjoying this!

Please Fix Playback

X Arch Frenemy X

Please add a setting that automatically resets the playback position to the top of the loop upon stop / playback. (At least in midi slave mode) Without it, the tenori app simply starts playback from whatever random step it was sitting on when it stopped. That means it falls out of sync every single time the master device stops and starts. (unless you manually move the loop point or use the menu to hit loop point reset hundreds of times in a session!) This is the only sequencer that I have ever encountered that lacks the capability to always start playback on beat one. This would be a 5 star app and midi sequencer if that sync flaw was fixed. As is, it is too much of a hassle to use as more than a stand alone toy.

Cheated out of Tenor-e Update!

S. L. Biggs

Instead of updating, they forked it? Not cool. On top of that, it really needs the ability to tie notes together to compete with Beatwave, a free app. They shoul've made TNR-e an IAP. And do the menu buttons really need to be that small? I also think a full screen 8 by 12 view for the grid on iPhone would be more functional than the current zoom view, or an 8 by 8 default grid in the current layout where the nodes are more usable and visible. Maybe 4 buttons where one could toggle between the 4 zoomed 8 by 8 sections of the grid? Well executed, something like that might bring it up to the level of iKaossilstor.

no Bluetooth

what.about.this.

the Tnr app wont Bluetooth audio to non iPad Bluetooth enabled objects ( example. a Jbl enabled Flip ) no idea why.
