Issues since update

When I receive a notification of an alert, I'm given the choice of 'close' or 'open'. Each time I click 'open', the splash screen appears and just stays there. I have to back out and then open the app as I normally would. Something is wrong there. I'd rather not opt out of receiving news notifications. Thanks
Extremely long loading time on iPhone 5

This app takes forever to load on my iPhone 5. I have given up trying to use the app.

This app has been trying to update for almost a week and gets about half way and stops! It will not even let me delete it! This is crazy please fix this issue!
