With a good headphone and with noise cancellation you actually tend to believe the thunder and rain. Excellent effects.

I’ve tried quite a number of rain apps and the sound quality of Thunderspace is by far the best. I LOVE the stereoscopic 3D audio effect when using headphones. I use this app to put the kids to sleep every night (no headphones, but it still sounds great). I use Thunderspace when I’m studying for school to help me focus and block out other sounds. I love the variety of the recordings and the loop is seamless. I can listen for hours and never recognize when a storm is repeating. I only recently paid for all the tracks but I should have done it years ago. My only complaint/request is a UI overhaul. It’s been the same since I first downloaded it years ago and it’s kinda clunky and difficult to navigate sometimes. I prefer tap navigation over slide navigation. Basically 4.9/5 stars. ❤️

I finally broke down and purchased this app. It’s EXACTLY what I’ve been look for. It’s perfect really. I put my headphones on and Its hard to believe the storm is only coming from my phone!! The sound quality is unbelievable. The only thing that could be improved upon is the lightening.....I love the concept, truly, but if the flashes could be varied in duration it would bring the entire experience to a whole new level! Even with that minor nitpicking pet peeve of mine this app still gets my 5 star support!!!!!

Why is this app free (for some)?

This is a quality app. Intuitive interface, stable and excellent sound. However, I do not like that some of us are paying more for the app. I guess this is marketing. However, this makes me wary of investing in this app.

This is definitely one of the best if not THE best storm app in the world. There are only two free storms, but after you spend some time listening to those, the $10 for all the rest of the storms are definitely worth it. The best feature is the stereoscopic 3D. There are no words to explain how real it sounds like you are actually in the middle of a storm, as even the lightning flashes are realistic.

Update for HomePod, please!

I love this app, paid for pro, and listen to it for around 10 hours a day, every day. I truly love it. Recent version seems to be incompatible with HomePod — please update!

These rain and thunder sound beds are so well recorded and engineered that sometimes I actually think I’m feeling drops of water falling on my head, or wind brushing by my face. While wearing headphones it realistically places the listener in a 360 degree envelope of awesome sounding, relaxing and sometimes frighteningly intense weather storms.
