Not Impressive

ALERTS DO NOT GET TRIGGERED FOR SIGNALS HALF THE TIME. I try to get alerted when a stock is at a certain price but this app literally don’t notify me when my alert is suppose to go off. I hate this app a lot. They’re lucky there aren’t more mobile trading app brokers out there because they wouldn’t be any better than the competition. Also you need ALL types of requirements and approvals to trade futures and forex plus crazy commissions fees on options and futures. Do not trade forex on this platform because your fills will be awful and far off from the current price too. Would def give this broker a 6.5/10. Much better ones out there.

Awesome software and platform.

Think or swim is a great program for trading, education and technical studies. A lot of thought has gone into the engineering of this platform and you won’t be disappointed in using it. Their technical department is great in answering questions and their videos on their website is excellent. I highly recommend Think or Swim!

Better than the web on desktop, for options

2020 October Update More stable this year, and very fast on iPhone SE (2020) The THEO theoretical price for option legs just disappeared on Oct 14, please add it back ! Legacy comments on old versions: 2017 October update: Customization of what columns to show and in what order to show them in is great, and is available for ticker symbol watchlist, portfolio positions, and entered (open or filled or cancelled) orders screens. It asks me for my password a lot more often, it should use touchID more often. 2017 July update: -1 star for nagging me to write a review and popping up reminders to write a review while the market is open. After demerits for review whoring, TD/ThinkOrSwim still earns a strong four star rating from me, a long term customer and option trader. ToS and TDAmeritrade understands what option traders do, and makes it easy to do. Recent editions have been weak about populating a market 'mark' price quote into lists of open orders. This missing the mark problem continues in 2017 June. Thoughtful improvements, but the additional information is optional and my screen does not become increasingly cluttered with additional columns I do not use, as I can sort or hide info I do not use. Flexible customizations. Sometimes unable to connect when the market is busy. The latest improvements to chat with support and share screens or images/screenshots is great.

Need Performance charts

Jothikrrishna

Pls add dash board to view how we are performing from the start. Add tabs on Top to switch easily between watchlists When we go to Options , always default to current price position instead of navigating all the way to current price from bottom. For eg on Amazon need to scroll from lowest strike to current strike and it takes lot of time.

Inconsistent

TruDat2019

Whenever TOS updates the glitches are horrendous. Data staggers, proces don’t update, and if you’re trying to daytrade you lose money. TD staff are worthless when this happens, and essentially just shrug their shoulder. UNACCEPTABLE

I do like the detail and the breadth of things you are able to do with the app. The customer service was great, when I needed it. I do wish that they would bring in some features that are used on the TD site, like your account growth/loss chart (if they want to get crazy, a chart that is based on your asset value and an overall that factors for account contributions/distributions would be great!). I do realize that this is an app that has to be able to fit and operate on a mobile device. I understand that TOS is more advanced than the non traditional brokerage apps, but a little eye candy with quick information would really enhance the experience. I’d settle for being able to see my cost basis in app, though.
