Short, linear, but worth it

Sometimes I’m in the mood for a Choice of Robots style game where every choice I make very perceptibly changes the story and the whole thing takes a while. Sometimes, though, I want something quick and fast I can get through in under an hour and where I can see where everything’s going to go. That’s what happened here - it’s not a long game by any means, and from my few play throughs nothing really changes too much based on what you do. I’m not even sure my stats truly mattered in the end because no matter what I did I seemed to fumble the same parts. That said, the story is cute. The characters aren’t that fleshed out but all play a Heist Role that you’re probably used to seeing in Heist movies and shows like Leverage. And in the end, I had a good time - and that’s what matters, right?

Overall fun game

I think this story is okay, not good but won’t let you regret to purchase as well. Little too linear and too much characters show up in a short time. Not so catchy

Enjoyable Game

A rather enjoyable title from CoG if I do say so myself. Decent length, a good selection of choices, not to hard to get through the skill check points so long as you play to your strengths. Two romancable characters, and a nice twist at the end.

Glitchy

SPOILERS: In several circumstances I found that a wrong scene would occur. Willingly forming a relationship with Bouchard and then the next scene being that I shot him? Don't think that's very conducive to a relationship.

Not perfect, but I'd buy it again

Well written and creative, but short and replay value is limited. It took me about 30-40 min to get through it the first time; about 20 max for replays. It's very easy and pretty linear -- which is nice but also boring; there's not much of a point to replaying since you got it all right the first time and tbh the choices don't seem to matter that much. I did like the game and I'd buy it again, but I think part of that is because new COG games are pretty scarce these days. It was good, but not as good as some of the others have been.

Too short

I would have liked this more if it were longer. I felt like I reached the ending fairly quickly, to the point where my "stats" really had no bearing on the story at all. The story seems to hint at a sequel, which might fix the aforementioned issue. But given that this is an app you have to pay for in the first place, I feel as if this still doesn't make up for the fact that I didn't get my money's worth.

Fun Heist game

This week it looks like we received two treats from CoG. While one was a heavy historical tale, this one is a lot more lighthearted and fun. Your character is the second best thief in the world and in order to prove that you are the best it is up to you to hire some old compatriots and steal the Black Cat diamond (Pink Panther reference anyone?). The characters aren't very fleshed out in the story. They all represent a particular skill that you might not have. There are some romance opportunities and the whole thing felt a bit like Ocean's 11 which is a good thing. It seems like there is a little bit more going on than just the caper which is nice. I like how it hits all the familiar tropes of its genre. I was entertained and wanted to see where it went, but wasn't incredibly blown away. Took about one and a half hours to go through it on my first play through but I don't feel compelled to replay it to see what might change. Wouldn't mind a sequel tho. :) Maybe one where I can choose people on my team from a bigger pool of options. And perhaps a bit more to do when planning and executing the heist.

Fun game

I wish a big game company would make a game like this where it's a fun story, you can choose if you want to play as a man or woman, and pick your allegiances. Would buy the next chapter if there is another.

Dazzling

I really like this game, but in the new update I have had a problem where the custom names do not appear in the text or in the status bar.
