Limitation makes it only a novelty item

The app is, by its very nature, hilarious. However, I don't understand why the phone has to stay on and unlocked for it to work. No other alarm app I've used has this limitation. Because of this, you have to sleep next to a glowing phone. That or cover it with something, which would seem to lessen the effect of the alarm. Unfortunate.

As a huge fan of The Rock, this has really helped me get up in the morning. And if you're wondering, yes you do need to have the app on for it to function properly which is a huge downside but I'm not too concerned about it right now unlike some people.

Rock does a video like once a week for this app. Those cheesy quote clips are not the same as having the rock himself greet you in the morning.

This is a fun app that is much more motivational compared to the regular alarm on my phone. Only issue I have with it is not being able to lock the screen and still be woken up in the morning. While I do sleep most nights through the night, some nights I have stress dreams and anxiety nightmares and waking up to see the time glowing up at me hasn't helped. I have an easier time going back to sleep after these when I don't know what time it is. It would also be nice if there was a way to set a specific time for specific days. I work a lot of morning shifts and it gets frustrating having to make sure the alarm it set every night. Having a consistent alarm that ran in the background would be nice.

Huge Fan of The Rock but you gotta fix one thing !!

Anyone that knows me knows that I love The Rock and everything about him. When my fiancé introduced me to this app i was all happy , but I dislike the fact that u gotta have the App opened in order for the app to work . I will not use it just because I already have a hard time preserving my battery life I will not drain it by using the Alarm . Please fix that !!!!!!

I really tried to like this app. At first I did. I got past the thing about leaving your phone plugged in all night that everyone else is complaining about. The alarm tones were fun, but what really got me out of bed were the the video messages from The Rock. Unfortunately, the messages started tapering off, some days I'd only get a photo still with text. Now there are no video messages at all, just photo stills with the sort of empty platitudes about chasing your goals that can be found in self help books everywhere. I confess myself disappointed & probably won't be using this app anymore.

Fix the problem.

I just used it for the first time this morning. 6 am run, and as soon as I heard BAMF I knew it was time to get up! Get this app, I promise you'll love it! Get after it! I do wish that The Rock would make more videos messages in the app though.

You have to let the alarm go off without leaving the app open. And your phone unlocked. That's ridiculous.

This app is awesome! I know everyone's concerned about having to leave your phone on all night but honestly you don't..well atleast I don't. I just put it on sleep mode then turn my phone off and the alarm still goes off in the morning. I love it! Even though the Rock hasn't been putting videos lately, just quotes! Still very motivating
