Very cool app, but...

Ddhuggies

This is a very cool app, but the only thing is that it, (the alarms), does not work when you lock your phone and that make it very easy for the phone's battery to drain faster. Also, this app doesn't let you set alarms for specific days, so you would have to know when to turn it on, like for example school, work, etc... and when to turn it off, like if you are off on both occasions, let's say on the weekend. Just two minor setbacks, that in my opinion, can be fixed.

Started of great..tapered off over time

The app was pretty funny at the beginning - the ringtones were amusing as was the idea of waking up to inspiration from the Rock. The Rock used to post videos every few days from the gym or on a movie set telling everyone to stay motivated. Seeing him on camera was actually what made the app worth using (even despite the bothersome always-on requirement at night). Unfortunately, the Rock doesn't update with videos anymore - just pictures of him with motivational quotes that are starting to get recycled. I'm not delusional enough to think that he should be posting videos every day but, once he quit entirely, the app became pretty novel.

Needs Refining

If you're looking for an alarm clock then this is great. Who doesn't like waking up to DJ in the morning? But if you're looking for something to help with goal setting, it falls short. There's no way to track your progress or tweak your gol along the way. For example, if you've set a goal that has daily or weekly actions, there's no way to log that you completed it. If you have multiple goals for different parts of your life you can't enter them. If you wanted to track your progress against your goals there's no way to do that. I think it's a good idea, it just needs a bit more fleshing out in order to be effective.

It's a 5 star app but...

This is a five-star app sadly have to give it 2 stars. When the app was launched, Rock used to upload new motivation videos and sometimes quotes with his pic. Now he never uploads special video messages. I believe most of the users will agree with me. I downloaded it to see DJ. Not some computer generated quotes by DJ. Sorry Rock but gotta give your app 2 stars.

Close to perfect

I honesty do love waking up to The Rock saying "Ring Ring" at 6 am and or waking up the same time as The Rock does ...the only thing I don't like, is that it has to be kept on all night, this really needs to be changed some how, cause doing this I have noticed my phone gets hot...not good.

Good not great

I am huge Dwayne Johnson fan, he's a good ol' down to earth beast. But with this alarm clock I have a tough time waking up, even when my volume is on blast. This app needs a vibration setting. That's what gets me up with my normal alarm, my music is just a bonus. But I'm sure there are others like me who wake up to the frequency that the vibration makes. Anyways, you guys want a five star rating from me, put a vibration setting that goes off with the alarm.

It started off so well.

I love the alarm ringtones! I love not having a snooze! I love The Rock! I don't love the same black and white pictures with a motivational quote on them. Come on! What happened to the video clips? I know you can't do one every day but is one a week too much to ask? Is it just that you don't have a new movie coming out to plug? If the "motivational" aspect of the app improves ill up the rating. Until then I guess I won't be smelling what the Rock is cookin.

Useless

Worst app do not download its just waste of time.

Could be better

First of all, the fact that you have to put your phone into "sleep mode" while in the app in order for it to ring, is just ridiculous. Your phone still pulls the notifications from "The Rock", which end up as text displayed on your screen saying things like "it's time to get up" and "alright I tried" in reference to waking you up --- what happens if you forget to enter AND acknowledge sleep mode before you go to bed at night ? No alarm, that's what! And heaven forbid you push the "sleep" button that's physically on your phone (iPhone in my case) because again.... No alarm. Then, what makes it worse? The developer leaves NO WAY to send messages regarding complaints or feedback.... You're directed to the website for more information, and the website simply directs you to the privacy policy and Dwayne's Facebook fan page + Twitter..... How are users suppose to identify complaints with the development team ? Neat concept for fans, but terrible execution.

Sorry Rock

I really hate to do this to my man The Rock, but twice in the past two weeks my alarm hasn't gone off and I've failed to wake up for something. I've been using Rick Clock since it came out and this just started happening, so I'm guessing it's an update issue. Maybe it's when my phone updates software and reboots. Regardless, an alarm clock is totally worthless if, you know, it doesn't wake you up.
