Great app ...but restore for paid app is finicky

App is fantastic but the only issue is it keeps asking to remove ads even though it’s been paid for and restoring purchases doesn’t do anything. iOS 11. Please update. It has been like this for months.

I just paid for this app tonight and it worked for exactly 4 pics. Now I just get the whirly circle and then an error message. I have tried doing one photo at a time, changing one field at a time, closing it out and restarting, everything. It's not working at all. ? What a waste.

App no longer works on Iphone XS. iOS12. App wont cant be reached or Apple wont refund. Pure BS to upgrade to Pro.

I keep purchasing the in app purchase to allow me to edit metadata. However, the app keeps telling me that I have not purchased it (despite my App Store receipt). I can’t actually do anything because this keeps happening. The app generally seemed to get good reviews so I gave it the benefit of the doubt and tried to contact the dev. I did not get a reply so am posting a negative review. I will remove this review if he will actually reach out and help me (or refund my purchase).
Captions don’t flow back to iCloud

I got this app specifically to be able to write caption metadata for my photos ( I.e. to edit the photos’s title and/or description. This app lets you edit a field called “caption,” but the new caption is not visible outside the app. Useless to me, $2.99 down the drain.

I have never written an app review before but thought it absolutely necessary in this case. The description suggests that the app can be used to remove metadata, but when I attempted to do that on a photo, it tried to process an in-app purchase. Do t advertise this app as providing services which it does not actually provide.
Make app able to run in background

I like this app but I’m trying to copyright 12,000+ photos which understandably will take a loooong time, but it stops running the second I switch to a different app. I imagine the same problem would occur if I ran it at night as soon as my iPhone X goes to sleep. At this rate it’ll be months before I’m able to complete this task.

You cannot add keywords or titles. Any captions added using an iOS device do not show up in Photos on the Mac. Adding or modifying GPS info does update on the Mac.
Huge cache issue -literally-!

First, let me say that no other app I have used removes location & EXIF data as thoroughly as Investigator. Unfortunately, this app has a major issue that has persisted update after update: every single video edited somehow remains in the cache. It does not matter that you delete the video from the camera roll, it still remains in the app's cache. So basically one has to delete & reinstall the app every time (I edit videos, so memory adds up pretty fast). Other than this major flaw, which I have constantly reported in my reviews (which have been deleted), this is a great app. Just so annoying to use...
