Sad, now this has become a paid app to read any of the stories. I used to enjoy reading the Mercury news, now I will be deleting this app

I like the Mercury but the User Interface is not stable, often when I click on an article it comes up blank - and the frequency seems to be increasing instead of getting better.

The app just crashes if you don't pay.

The combined iPhone and iPad version of this app appeared to be an improvement initially; however, after a few days it became sluggish opening articles and crashing several times while reading the same article. This behavior isn't consistent as 95% of the articles are stable when opened. About 5% of the time an article will stall on a white screen when being opened and requires toggling the home button to get it to display.
