Great !!

PapaKrod

Wonderful game mechanics, ever expanding collection and a large player base.

Beautiful card game, always fun to play

I have no idea why people are complaining about the AI and how the game is “made for you to win.” Yes, in the beginning it is set up for you to beat the computer, but you will go on to build your collection and knowledge of the game and be able to battle other players in the arena. Practice battles also pose as more of a challenge (depending on the difficulty and your skill level). Solo Arena is AI but is still a blast and can be challenging at times. Anyway, the graphics are very familiar if you have ever played Magic: the Gathering, and the cards have great art and mechanics. I would definitely recommend this game.

No longer working

Even after updating the game I can no longer play because I keep getting the message that I need to update and I can't exit out if it

Only game I've kept installed indefinitely. Super good

Amazing! But...

The only problem I have is that I always end up having to restart because it signs me out of my Bethesda account.

Expensive coin flip simulator

Myricle

Went in enjoying this, the story was fun, game play was interesting and upgrading of vanilla cards was nice. Then I reach the end of the tutorial story and find I must buy the rest of the stories, ok no problem 1,000 gold and I only have 500 but I can build up, 40g quest a day means 13 days to new content, but that is only for a THIRD of one. Ok, well saving up for that will take months, still a fun game I will play arena. Get the “zoo” field effect. Turn one my opponent puts down a 1 cost that turns into a 5/5, I put a creature down 1/3. After that point I couldn’t win, they simply lucked out better cards than me. I try again, same thing. Finally I get lucky enough to win but am now down two out of three strikes to sheer luck that there is no compensating for or playing around. My recommendation: Save time, find a quarter in your pocket and flip it, try to call it in the air, same experience 1/1000th the price.

A game off to a good start but...

I think the game play is pretty fun and there's a lot less randomness compared to games like hearthstone. I mostly play solo arena which is pretty fun but there are some quality of life issues. Each time you beat a champion, a card gets added to your deck. Generally the card quality is ok but it makes your deck larger and thus, slower to get to your good cards. Also it's hard to see the color mix and curve of your deck, which matters during new card selection. Figuring out the active quests can also be a chore. Still it'd be nice if there was a deck edit feature to keep the deck trimmed or tailor it to the colors of your opponents. The other concern that I have is the first expansion is $20 for a 40 cards play set worth of content. Now, I've dropped hundreds of dollars on games before and I know you can kinda grind the gold out (3000 for all three maps is a lot though), but I'm a little concerned that by this time next year there'll be a lot more expansions and the cost will add up. I'm also becoming bothered that on the rare times I win a complete arena run, I don't get enough coins for another entry. It's a fun game and worth trying but the concerns are there. Edited: Almost a year later and this is still my go to CCG app. Very stable except the occasional login issues. Gameplay is quick and smooth and very little of the hearthstone RNG. Not as toxic of a community either. My concerns about how expensive the game would be didn't happen as they've added some daily rewards to help with the grind. They've also made some quality of life improvements too. I should've upped this to 5 stars six months ago.

Bethesda came through!

Koralr33fer

Great game, had an issue with a purchase and Bethesda came through for me and fixed it, thank you!

This game is a joke

It doesn’t matter how good is your deck your opponent always have the right cards to win or bad cards to let you win, the game decides who wins
