The "improved" Dayton Daily News app is anything but improved. It is poorly organized which makes it difficult to find a particular article. The large D that appears all the time is annoying and gets in the way. One of the worst newspaper apps I have seen

This app makes me want to stop all subscriptions with Dayton Daily and go back to the Troy Daily News

There are no visa ke menus and intuitively you can't find anything you want. A total ZERO as an app.

I would give it zero stars if possible. This application is horrible. The DDN is probably the most technologically challenged media outlet in the entire world. Do not waste your time. It is poorly laid out, and very unorganized. Impossible to search for material. I guess I shouldn't be surprised, I pay for their digital subscription, and it is completely unreliable, and you can flip a coin every morning as to if the paper will actually be available to online subscribers. I will be canceling that as well.
Disappointed in DDN
Where's the whole paper? I have the paper subscription but can't get to paper from this app happy software!

In this version, this app has been significantly redesigned to be responsive to user input. Compared to that earlier version, the response from the app to input is nearly instant. This makes this app significantly more usable than before. This is a must upgrade.

Great new design. Chronological stories, most recent first, & in a user friendly feed. Not complicated or busy like the previous version. Great job!
Base Star
Tap on a story. Read it. Then try to tap on the back button in the top left corner. Tap, tap, tap: nothing happens. Sometimes it brings up the side menu, sometimes it takes you back to the news listing you were on before, but it's unreliable and unresponsive. Also double tapping the top status bar does nothing (it should scroll back to the top). Frustrating.
Disappointed Dayton Reader
Get rid of the sponsored articles they are worthless and never change. On the front page there are 9 real articles and 23 sponsored articles (or click bait designed to serve as ads). Shameful excuse for a leading local paper.
