Like New Version, But...

His King

I like the new version. It seems like I'm getting more news than before. I understand that what you see is based on and updatable by your own choices. My issue is with wading through all previous news after choosing "Read More Stories." Seems like the app should forward me through what I have read instead of taking me back to the top. After all, current news can be interspersed among more historical news so it is necessary to read more stories. Please fix this... So much for fixing it...

I'm usually quick to adapt to software changes, but I just hate this updated version. It's too difficult to navigate. I don't need pictures for everything. I'm not 3. Gimme back an old list with little thumbnails and a screen to scroll headlines.

Get rid of that large D menu button an the bottom of the screen. It eat up screen real estate and gets in the way when trying to read an article

This app is terrible. The old app was my main source of local news, but not anymore. A quick fix would be to allow users to navigate sections that interest them.

New version is horrible. You'd think that an organization that still prints a physical newspaper would realize there is a reason there are sections to the newspaper. But the app just piles every type of story together, with huge pictures so you can only see a couple of random stories at a time. Tapping the top of the screen does not scroll back to the top, like every other iOS app. Going back to the home screen from reading an article dumps you out to a random spot in the list. If you scroll to the bottom to load more articles, it scrolls back to the top, forcing you to scroll back down to the middle and find where you left off. Access to settings is provided by a giant, obtrusive circled D that won't go away. The worst news app I've seen so far.

This app is difficult, confusing and hard to use. Lose the big D. Stick to printing papers if you can not get digital media correct!??????

Appreciate there are multiple ways to read the paper on a tablet or a phone. Took me a couple of times to figure out which way works best for me. Once I figured it out it was easy to use, easy to read, and look at pictures, etc.

Update: The new update is a step in the right direction, but the following improvements are needed: 1. Please update for iPhone 6 and 6 Plus- this app looks ridiculous especially on the 6 Plus. 2. Videos don't load or have no sound, although the ads do :-/ 3. Please add the 'left swipe as back' gesture to go back to the main screen like most iOS apps do.
