Seems to me the game has evolved to the point where it no longer resembles the original. I’ve taken to playing”Naked Tetris” - No Power ups, no finishers. It’s tragic you can no longer play the simple original game, and that there’s no way to play directly from your phone without an internet connection, and even after spending five buck a constant barrage of advertisement. Your greedy desire for telemetry and metrics are trashing a once brilliant game. Shame on you Tetris.

It is a very addictive game but the app keeps freezing up and I have to restart my phone in order to play the game.
Losing it all to calls

Whenever you get a call in the middle of a game it has to reload and you don’t get back any of the coins or power ups. I’ve lost plenty coins and power ups cause of this even if you haven’t started a game but have chosen your power ups etc once you get a call you lose it all and I think you the app developer need to look into this. It’s a very annoying bug that needs to be fixed.
STOP CHANGING POWER-UP FEATURES

The game is already complicated when you battle/compete in tournaments... but EVERY TIME I find a successful strategy it’s ruined by a change in power up abilities. Every other week the Starfall finisher changes with the order power ups fall; some weeks the Supernova ONLY gives | 6 | 1x | 5K | then other weeks it’s generous. NOW you’ve changed the Cupid power-up and it no longer gives as many points nor rises when they are left on the board at time up. Please STOP doing this. It’s clearly a ploy to get us to invest in the newest power-up. But you are risking losing a very loyal player. Others have stopped and threatened to uninstall... to no adherence to our comments/concerns. Then even with changes there’s no notification. So you spend coins, use energy, just to see that the power up ability has been changed. Also, Please fix ways in which to contact you. My Game has crashed and power ups lost and there is no quick way to contact EA personnel. I’ve quit playing Tetris for 3 years before due to lack of player concern. I do not mind uninstalling if need be. I can play another game that remains consistent.

Really enjoy playing. If there was one thing I would like to change it would be... being able to use coins to purchase the power ups that are “earned” but otherwise this is a rather “addicting” game ?❤️

This game was unique for a Tetris game. However, for a Tetris who loves making huge distances, this game disappointed. 2:00? I have had a 26 minute game, and this only allows you to play for 2 minutes! My best Tetris game at the time of this review was 500,000+ points and level 14, lasting 26 minutes. This game only allows you to play for no levels, a low score, and 2 minutes. I would’ve been fine if you could play a 2 minute rush AND a classic Tetris game, but you’re heavily limited. This game is simply another of EA’s cheap moves.
Back doors!

There are too many glitches and back doors to this game. For example, today there is a by-hour tournament where people are scoring 77M points! When you watch the videos they don’t even come close to that score (more like 10M) but they are all doing the same thing which says there is something wrong with the game! I have played this game for years but between that and having to pay so much for the shards to ever win tournaments anymore, it’s just not fun. Bummer as I have spent probably $500 a year in this game but doubt I will again.
