while it did what it said, my Mac would lock up while I was in the middle of doing things so I had to get rid of it. Good idea, maybe a new rev would work better...
Password won't work to unlock

I thought maybe it's because I had cap lock, or special characters or something. Trying to get their attention.

Great idea! I'm one of those people who always lock their computer. I'll even do it when I'm home by myself. Setting everything up was very easy, on both my iPhone and Mac. However, I was never able to get past the lock screen. For some reason the password was always missing the first character. After entering it myself, I was able to log in.
Tether needs Bluetooth version 4

Your MAC needs to have Bluetooth 4 to install this software. Too bad.

Like most reviewers, this is a nice concept marred by inconsistent or poorly-tuned execution. My Mac would lock frequently when neither I nor my iPhone had moved, and sometimes when I walked up to the Mac, it just wouldn't unlock. Became more irritating and unhelpful until I just uninstalled Tether from my Mac.

It doesn't work very well, options are limited MacID is much more refined, more options, and better all around.
Newest update doesn’t work now

Updated recently and now it doesn’t work. Prior to this it was an amazing app. If it updates and starts working again I will revise. In theory it’s a great app, when it works. It’s inconsistent.
