Fun but confused lol

Kuanoni Corvex

The game is really fun and can be addicting been playing for about a hour. Only thing that confused me is your theme music and some of your art remind me of Mobiue FF app game. I'll admit tho this game is a little more fun lol.

Nice! Fun!

Couldn't put it down for like the first hour, the art and the music are really nice. The gameplay is confusing, but after a few battles I think I got the hang of it. I wish it was a little more interactive. Still fun though, totally keeping this

Stupid PvP

You lose internet connection during a PvP and you will be judged as defeated as well. Like I have full control over my connection to their stupid server, which breaks off itself now and then.

Incredible

I am shocked this game has 3 stars. As far as a mobile game goes, this game is incredible: interesting gameplay, fantastic art and music, and an actual story that doesn't lead you to buy gems.

Unplayable

Aretisssssssssss

It keeps telling me to update the app (I have version 4.7.2), but the App Store has no option to let me update. Five star because this is a good game, but this is really frustrating.

Not Working

Monstevr

Game won't load until I update to later version; later version doesn't exist. This has been the case for over a day now.

Solid game, great execution

I have an iPod touch 4th generation. This is a wonderful game, with a unique concept and storyline. It doesn't shove in-app purchases in your face, and there aren't any ads. It does have an occasional crashing problem, but that's probably because I'm using an older device. Update: The game launches to the white "Mistwalker" opening, where it just sits and loads forever. This started when co-op mode was added; it loaded once the first time, then this problem started. Please fix! Update: Got an iPad mini 2nd generation, all is well. Thank you Mistwalker for a solidly-made game.

Unlike any other

This is the only game I've kept, out of the piles of games I've tried on the app store. It's an amazing action-puzzle rpg. The story is great; the music, artwork, and writing meld beautifully to create it. I've played this game since April 2015, on an old iphone 4s, and it's been a great experience the whole way. Unlike the average game on the app store, that uses the same cut-out as every other for its gameplay, Terra Battle uses a unique grid-board where you arrange pieces (your party members) every turn to conquer the opponent. The mechanic is structured well to create an interactive battle, none of that bland auto-play excuse for gameplay most app store rpgs have. As with every free-to-play financial system, a developer group has to figure out how they're going to balance game content to keep the player interested and ultimately support themselves. Mistwalker does this well, from my own f2p point of view. They are generous with their cash currency, allowing you to build up a formidable team. Another good point is that a juiced out cash team isn't necessary to progress, you'll be able to play through the game till the last boss. Units are valued more because of their unique combination of abilities, rather than their rank. For players that build up overpowering teams there are challanges for them tackle, through special events. One aspect I find instrumental in keeping me attached to the game is the pace. Many app games are always pitting you against other players to see who has the best rank/units/wallet, in an attempt to leak out your cash. It's an EXHAUSTING model of gameplay pace for the player, because; though they try to balance the playing field with little chores for you to squeeze out a speckal of a reward, it just ends up consuming hours of your time you could be using for important things (like actually playing!). So the way Terra Battles sets the pace of the game; is by putting you in the experience of playing a traditional rpg, as you would at your own casual pace. You'll be absorbed in your own progress, enjoying the game, instead of trying to race ahead of everyone. Though heavily a single player game, there are modes to play with others. You can co-op with your friends to complete storylines, join with a random player to complete a random story mission, or challange special co-op bosses with 2 other teammates. Every now and then there is a PvP mode that occurs. They're themed around giving certain units advantages, making it so the lowest ranked unit becomes more valued than the highest. Terra Battle is a game with a lot of fun to discover. Mistwalker cares for their game and it shows brilliantly. One last, important point; this review wasn't requested or sponsored. I just want to support something I like.

I like it and there is some good fun to be had.

The battle mechanics are simple to grasp, you can jump in really quickly. The music and art is REALLY good. I just find the story mostly uncompelling, the lore is interesting enough. The gameplay is somewhat repetitive, but not enough to be super irritating.
