Keep losing connection on my iPhone XR. Like others have stated, it hovers in the air and you have to wait for it to connect to get it down. Pointless drone till they can fix this issue.

If only you could update the firmware

There are a few bugs with the drone that could be fixed if you could update the firmware but its impossible. As in there is no possible workaround for the app issue. When you try to update the firmware somebody decided the firmware needs to be verified at each stage of the update. Meaning it is verified multiple times. The problem is the drone has no wifi passthrough so its not possible to verify once you connect to the drone. Thus the update can never be verified. Worse yet the app never times out so if you leave your phone on for 30 days. It just be stuck at “verifying update...” for 30 days. I had to use an android device to update. Straightforward. No issues on droid.

Stick Mode 1 has forward/ backward and fly left/ fly right on separate sticks. Stick Mode 2 would be perfect, if it were not the SOUTHPAW layout on every mordern FPS in exsistence. I've contacted support multiple times, sent screenshots of standard stick layouts of CoD an Halo vs their respective southpaw layouts. Every support technician I've contacted thinks this makes sense, but nothing ever gets done. (Also, an invert Y option would be nice as well.)

The last firmware update for the Tello i messed a lot of things like when i take of i miss that motor sound like DJI Drones. And i like to see the battery percentage. Please can you get these back.

Love it ? me and my brother have so much fun with the droid! Want to get one for him and get one for me! Wished that it would not stop when it hits something. Can’t wait to take it off. Love ❤️ that we can take with us but wished it was smaller for a car. We love ? our tells!!!

App is awesome but you really should keep na eye on punctuation - then it will look more pro. First of all, after every dot should be a space / after every sentence should be a dot / every word should start with uppercase letter. I don’t mean only description of the app in App Store but also changes logs and text in the app itself. Changelog... In the future call it just „Bugfixes” ;) I will change that review to 5 stars after punctuation correction of changelog, App Store description, description of tips inside the app.

I love the app but I think that that could add a night vision camera for night time flying also that could add more flips and tricks also some more fight time by extending the battery to last longer.

Constant disconnects. Worst app and product I’ve ever used.

I recently got a DJI Mavic Mini and that works great, for outdoors. I wanted a small drone for indoors. Just picked up a Tello since it was on sale. Worst mistake ever. I did read some of the prior reviews that said the app and Wi-Fi connection had issues but I didn’t think this bad. I’m on iOS 13.2.3 and iPhone 11 Pro. Trello app version 1.3.2 which is the latest version. Also updated drone firmware version to 1.04.78.01. I’ll be returning Tello to the store and paying a restocking fee. At least I will get some of my money back. Don’t make the same mistake I did.
