I tell all my teacher friends to get it! Love it!

Nice app and useful.

Vyper561

Tangent is a nice app with some good and useful tools that are indispensable for teachers. There are some gaps, however. The biggest and worst omission is the cross platform compatability. Why is it that when syncing from one device to another, things like student photos are only partially synchronized and sometimes randomly deleted from one device or the other? The result is that you never have a complete record on all devices. Secondly, why is it that the pc version only supports students abs attendance? The pc is the better choice of locations to permanently store these classroom records. All features of TeacherKit should be available in the pc version as well as the mobile editions. If these things are fixed I could see giving five stars.

Conversation with parent doesn't work

Non-Local

I like this app a lot, but conversation with parent doesn't work. As a teacher, I see a message, but it will not let me reply from app to that parent. This defeats entire purpose of that app

Good app but missing key feature

Corrieco

This app is easy to use and will help me organize my student records. However, I'm disappointed that there isn't a way to add any anecdotal notes to the grade book. Elementary school teachers who write narrative reports rely heavily on their daily written observations. It would be the wonder app I've been looking for if it had that feature.

Great potential

Piloga

I think this app has some great potential but I have und it buggy. I have contacted support about my issues and mostly hear sorry and we will report it but not a lot here is how you can fix it or at least some help trouble shooting it. As expensive as this app is every year I would expect more.

Very handy for multiple classes

MrsSmithRLC

I love this app!! I can take roll and make behavior notes quickly. The photo option is great, too, for field trips, emergency drills, etc. still as handy as ever. I've been using it for over four years.

It now updates across devices...

The improvements have been great!

Like the app

Mlynettem

I like the app but it keeps going out when I am adding existing students. I have to keep opening the app and starting over...very time-consuming.

Crashes an has bugs

MathNeo

I'm a 15-year teacher, and I've used a fair handful of grading and classroom organization programs. While this is one of the better mobile apps, it is fairly simple, but has a few bugs. For example, it crashes often when I try to put in a new assignment to grade, and it seems odd to me that I can't put the same assignment into two classes of students. When I do this, it says "this assignment already exists in another class," and deletes my entry. Also, I'd like to be able to transfer one student from one class to another. To do this, apparently we have to transfer all grades and information by hand to the new class, and delete the student from the original class. It seems obvious to me that transferring a student with all info between classes should be a common thing for an app like this. Lastly, moving students' seating arrangements is finicky. At times, the automatic "snap to grid" feature of aligning students in rows/columns will actually prevent a student from being seated where you want to drag their icon, making arranging them frustrating. I'd just as soon remove the alignment feature and let the user eyeball it. A seating chart doesn't need to be a perfect grid!
