I used to LOVE this app- I watched numerous recipe videos every day. Now, unfortunately, the new update has rendered it nearly useless for me as it only allows 5 videos to be viewed every MONTH before needing to upgrade to the Plus version. Not only that, but when you click cancel on the pop-up demanding an upgraded Plus version to view the video, it returns you to the original home screen. Because of this, you can’t even use just the recipes without the videos. So basically, this app is now worthless without the Plus version. If this isn’t changed soon, I’ll be deleting the app. :(

I love Tastemade but am disappointed

I used to love this app. There were all kinds of ideas and helpful videos for cooking. Over the last few updates it has gotten harder and harder to watch videos. Now everything is subscription based and expensive. My once favorite app is now my most frustrating one.

I used to be a HUGE fan of Tastemade. I loved everything about the app, I preferred it 100x over Tasty. I’ve been subscribed for over a year now! Now, I have to pay just to use the app AT ALL, which is ridiculous b/c I can get those recipes offline for free. I never write app reviews, but this is a huge disappointment!!

I use to LOVE this app, it inspired me to cook and the recipes looked and sounded very delicious! I loved to watch dessert videos just for fun all the time, but now, not being a subscriber to Tastemade plus, I can only watch 5 videos a month, and not knowing this, I watched 5 videos today and I went to watch another, it would let me and said I had to subscribe to watch more! I was so shocked and disappointed to hear that they updated to that. I don’t want to pay $7.99 a month or $49.99 a year just to watch more than 5 videos. Even recently, almost every video I wanted to watch I had to pay for. It’s a shame the only Tastemade experience I can get is watching them on Snapchat, as long as they don’t make me pay for that soon. I’m considering deleting this app for only being able to watch 5 free videos a month. I understand that they want money, but seriously!?!? I have to pay to watch more than 5 videos a month!!! I hope you guys change this because this has disappointed me and many other people I know. Thank you, Baseball Queen52

Less than a year ago this app was excellent! But now everything needs a subscription...! You can only see 5 videos a month. I used to love this app, now there there is ads, needs for subscriptions. It was better before.

It has too many of their ads for unlimited access and premium which I didn’t have to see before this upgrade the upgrade was a ripoff deleting the app

I used to love this app but now with the new update I HATE IT. I used to be able to watch multiple shows a day but now with the new update you can only watch 5 shows a MONTH. All they want you to do is pay for a subscription, when many people might not want to. But seriously only 5 shows each MONTH. And all the shows I liked to watch such as- the scran line I can’t find and it’s sad cause I really liked that show. I’m really disappointed they should just go back to the old update. It’s just really annoying that you can only watch 5 shows a month if you don’t have a subscription. I really liked the old update. If this keeps happening I’m going to delete the app.

Each update comes with a new way to restrict free users. What’s the point of the ads if we’re only allowed 5 videos to view a MONTH? They keep adding ways for them to force us into paying.

I used to love this app, but now every single video requires subscription. I used this app for the helpful, func inventive, and FREE cooking videos. I am not a fan of how much they have geared themselves towards ads, requiring subscription, and also promoting products. I appreciated the authenticity and uniqueness this app offered, and now it’s all gone. Such a bummer.

Used to be great before you had to pay for everything

Used to be such a great app to find new recipients but now you have to pay for everything and sit through 15 seconds ads before each video. Seems like they sold out.
