Love the idea

I always love meeting people that share similar taste in music... I usually fall for them harder. I haven’t had any luck on tastebuds unfortunately :( I get almost no matches, and the ones I do get, never respond. I live in the Bay Area and there does seem to be a rather big selection of people around here. It’s just that it seems like nobody really uses the app. I’m really bummed because all of my favorite artists are on there I would truly love to meet someone through music but I don’t think it will ever happen to me :(

This app is such an beautiful concept!!! I’ve only had it for 2 days, but I’m confused about how it works.. seems like it’s based on the content of my iTunes library, and I personally don’t believe the vast majority of the content in my iTunes library has anything to do with who I am and who I’d like to date, now. I listen on Apple Music, have for years, and for years I’ve been into edm. If it’s just showing me who’s around me, like tinder, but with a MySpace song, fair enough lol. I guess I’d love to be able to type in “excision”, and find people who also love excision. I have only listed this artist... so why am I seeing soo many dudes who love bright eyes... because 15 years ago I purchased bowl of oranges? ? (or is everyone in Cleveland just like, beyond depressed this time of year ?) My iTunes library is not a compatibility algorithm, a lot of the music that’s on there was purchased way before we had other options, and I literally owned the CDs. Yes, most humans have enjoyed a song by the Beatles at some point in life? however, this information is useless in helping me find my headbanger soulmate, ya know? It’s very possible I’m just on the wrong app and if so, I do apologize, not trying to be negative, still a lovely concept! I’m sure there are so many ppl who exclusively listen to *objectively* cool music... and they totally belong together lol. But like, I’m looking for someone who loves edm. My best girlfriend should probs end up with a fellow phishead. While both our mothers graciously purchased us the no strings attached album, and we hold it near and dear to our hearts, I am hoping this is not relevant in who I’m being shown on this app ?I can find plenty of men whose iTunes library matches mine at gay karaoke on Wednesdays, and in my middle school yearbook, ya know?

This app will not tell you that most of the people you will match with haven’t touched it in “over a month ago” unless you go to their website. They also make you pay for messages, but they don’t tell you that either. The matching isn’t the best because it will show you plenty of people who don’t like anything you do. It’s a great concept, but if you ask me it’s executed poorly. Somebody make an app that doesn’t kill off its userbase like this one did.

Are use this app couple years ago and wasn’t very impressed but it is really gotten a lot better. The matches and connections related to music or you’re really unique. You should give it a try.
Not much support for smaller artists

Even though some of my artists are on iTunes, Spotify, basically everything, their songs won’t show up and if they do, it won’t let them be played.

It’s a wonderful way to meet and find some one! I love seeing the songs that are getting sent to me by the guys—it makes me blush and feel all warm and cuddly inside. I’m hoping to meet someone soon!
