This app is great. I love the integration with Reminders, and how quickly it syncs with Taskpaper on the Mac. I wish it didn't show tags when it added items to Reminders, but that's a niggling issue.

Crashes like nobody's business and comes to a crawl when working with medium-sized files. If you use Takspaper on the desktop, you will be disappointed. Pros: - supports query language - Dropbox syncing - re-arranging items by dragging - done tag has date attribute - easy selection of tags and projects - saved searches - Textexpander support - extended keyboard with user-definable keys - URL schemes allow for integration with other programs - developer initially responded fast to bug report Improvements needed: - Documentation - fails to mention that 'Focus in' and Fullscreen mode are only available on iPad - titles in 'Advanced settings' are too long and overlap with buttons - manual sync options displayed despite automatic sync being enabled - extra vertical white space in document drop-down menu below last entry - rotation-lock glitch on document screen; screen tries to rotate when lock is engaged in settings Cons and bugs: - Program crashed three times in first hour of use - no autocomplete of tags when typing - Doesn't adhere to Taskpaper specifications - Typing text and adding a colon at the end doesn't create a project - Typing text without beginning hyphen or ending colon doesn't create a note - alarm tag has two attributes, date and time; a tag can only have one according to Taskpaper spec - Reminders app integration - cannot select a date without also having to specify a time - reminders are tagged with @alarm tag which cannot be changed - link to Reminders app requires using the date picker. One cannot enter @alarm tags and have those items show up in Reminders, hence one cannot add alarms in external programs; those won't get parsed even when using the identical syntax - therefore, changing existing alarms by editing the tag doesn't update the associated reminder, neither does deleting the alarm entry remove the reminder - swiping is VERY finicky; not sure how swipes are detected by the app, but it is not using the standard iOS API that email programs (Spark, Inbox, Mail, Unibox) seem to be using. For having a swipe be recognized, it takes several attempts (and some luck), most often these result in vertical scrolling, i.e. the 'start swipe' event is not being recognized.

This app remains the best in its assigned task. But it seems to have been a while since it's been updated. Occasionally now, it quits upon start, but with a restart works fine. What concerns me is that without updating of some kind, the time is coming when it won't. And that will be a sad day.

App crashes regardless of what I tap in the app. Must not be updated for iOS 10. I'd expect a developer to put a large warning at the top of the description when his or her app no longer works. I can see that the app hasn't been updated for well over a year.

It not only replaces the original TaskPaper but it improves on it with new functionality. It's not just a port of the original. This is a great minimal check list or a powerful task manager with integration to Reminders.

I only recently found out about & began using Taskmator...& truly love it! Why you might wonder? I will tell you; it combines tremendously effective functionality AND unbelievable simplisty. It just works...and there is really a very short (I.M.H.O) learning curve. This app was extremely well thought out, and given that it is text based, probably has a very small "footprint". So, if you care about distraction free computing, then I highly recommend this app!

This app hasn't been updated in over a year. It still works, but occasionally tasks will vanish from a new document when you first begin adding them, which may be a sync issue. Really wish the app had more updates and supported some of the newer iOS features, and for that matter, some of the power features available in Taskpaper for macOS.

Who knew Simple was better? Apparently taskpaper users. And I'm the only one who didn't. Whoa, taskpaper is a great app and this is a great iOS complement. Watch the syncing tho. Save and close out of one before working in the iOS I lost some work when I didn't follow that piece of advice. Otherwise great app!!
