Works For Me!

I use versions 3 & 5. No problems. Suggest you watch the videos in the online help section before you leave feedback.

Perfect App for 95% of people. Lists, collections, databases etc. Simple user interface.

The application suite (for Mac & iOS) complement well and make the functions of this application completely mobile. The user interface is natural and straightforward, speed of app is outstanding, and support by the developer is the best I have ever received. Syncing works very well in Nearby Mode. I have not tried the IBM Cloudant Cloud sync functionality. Hopefully iCloud and/or Dropbox sync will return in future releases. I recently migrated all my Filemaker databases to this app with the largest being 10k records and Tap Forms handles it easily. Kudos to the developer.

Cumbersome hierarchy

WalrusTexas

The "Upgrade" adds a hierarchical level at the top, and puts all your imported databases in one file. Now to get anything, I have to open the file to see the categories containing the databases. Don't see a way to move databases to different files, or to make different category choices in different files. Why have multiple files at all?

Database done right

SarahCast

Powerful yet simple to use. I can use wether I have internet access or not. Add Cloudant and now my team can stay synchronized and elevate productivity. Everything I've been looking for. Forget expensive programs on servers or dedicated clouds, Tapforms does it all without breaking the bank.

This app makes me happy!

Before I start... let me preface this comment with a statement. I am not a novice when it comes to database programs... that being said, the program did everything I wanted it to do. I possess the greatest looking and working video game database that my friends have ever seen. (They are incredibly jealous!!!) But I never referenced any of the tutorials because I had a pretty good idea of what to expect from the program. It's true... my friends envy the program I use for my games... a collection of over 1000 video games. I have integrated photos of the game covers along with the different current prices of competing stores both retail and online. I also have several check marks that indicate whether or not I have the game or if I have a disk or digital copy. I use several filtered searches that create compilations of games. For example... I have a compilation of certain ranges of achievements met. I also have a compilation of wether I need to buy a game. I even keep track of the anniversary of a game's release Date so that I can play it on its anniversary! That may be a bit too much... but it gives you an idea of what I have done with this program. Hope it helps.

Upgrade is awful

MommytoNFP2

I love TapForms. I use it all of the time for many database uses. I hadn't realized there had been an upgrade, so I was excited to get it. In a word. No. The upgrade is awful. The upper levels of hierarchy are very poorly designed. The setup is non intuitive. When a "document" is created it only shows an extremely short title. It wouldn't even show the entire word, "essential." But, it gives a huge space for a picture. Okay. A big picture would be great to identify. No. It doesn't allow a picture. It accepts emoticons only. And the directions for that are cut off. It just says something like, "Change picture. Switch to" after trial and error of typing in a few letters and having only one appear, I realized it was telling me to "switch to emoticon keyboard." Really? Emoticons as the main identifier? That's it. And to top it off, there is a random blue square taking up space in the title area. So a document can contain a whole list of forms. And then you can make a folder to put all of your documents inside. This has emoticon identifiers too, and an equally short name. This title doesn't have the random blue square. I guess that the folder shape around the emoticon didn't give it away that it isn't a document. But with all of these organizational levels, there is no way to actually organize. As a previous reviewer stated, there is no way to *move* files. After following the developer's instructions, that are again, not intuitive at all, I did see how you can *copy* your forms. Only it isn't really a copy. You make a backup of your form you want to "move," then you go create a new form, and import the back up. After the file is imported, you then have to delete the empty form that you opened in order to import. Lastly, you go back and delete the copied file from two places: the original spot, and the export form. And I paid a $10 upgrade to get to this point. Nothing was improved upon in the actual forms other than adding some colors. I would guess that some businesses my need something as huge as all of that document and folder space. But I don't. I will stay with my plain list of categories of personal, work, household, etc.. Those are still there. And one change is an improvement. Now those lists can be manually ordered. It wasn't worth $10, but it was worth the install. Otherwise, traditional TapForms is great! I can recommend it wholeheartedly! Developer, please fix this! These aren't bugs. These are design flaws. Your stuff is so much better than this.

?? Excellent personal database app with local, cloud-free sync

GB13?

If you're looking to create custom databases for information you want to keep track of (car mileage, home inventory, etc.), this is the app for you. There's definitely a learning curve in understanding how to set things up, but it's worth taking the time to figure out its features. And I'm a big fan of the local, cloud-free sync option, which has worked almost perfectly for me – I wish more apps offered this as an option.

Simply the best iOS database

Shelbyyorky

I would encourage readers to disregard the negative reviews. This is the best & easiest to use iOS database software available. Been using it for quite some time & it keeps getting better with every upgrade. Highly recommend.

Most used app on my phone and Mac

fdlkwjfoiewjfoiew

This app is the best database app hands down. Compared to the rest is like comparing a high end sport car to a hot wheel knockoff. The best part is it is still getting better. Anyone that likes or needs to organize data or just wants to keep a lot of data handy will love this app. Unlike most apps that claim they can sync between Mac and iPhone and iPad, this one actually does it seamlessly and very fast without errors. Try it you'll love it

Best "easy to use" database for the Mac

DanHi40

All most people will need. Worth the purchase price. Syncs with iPhone, iPad and other computers. Rich set of features. Used to use FileMaker Pro but Tap Forms is all I need and is easy to use. Developers have continued to add features and have been responsive to problems.
