I like the game a lot! Good job on it! BUT I wish there were more scenarios. If you want my 5th star, add some more! I really do enjoy the game though. My hope is to get the triple decker I faced in the last battle. Look forward to many updates!

I loved it and so did my 6 yr. We played it for hours. Fun and challenging!

This isn't the genre of game I normally go for, but I've found TSAoS to be easy to get into, a challenge (but not impossible) to win, and, in a word, fun.

Way to be original! While I am not very good at the game, I am addicted. I am excited to see what's added next. Perhaps wind coordinates, dealing with land or a rogue pirate ship. Maybe even incorporating more detail about my ship or being able to select different ships depending on my crew's destination or who we may be up against. I gave a 4 because the non-variation in water sometimes makes me feel sea sick.

Want to shoot cannons? Like tall ships? I had you at cannons, didn't I? Fun little simulation game, making good use of the gyro in the hardware. I look forward to more releases from this developer! Update on version 2: even better! This game keeps on improving every version. iPad support for free? Are you kidding?!

Not sure what the other review about lag is. I play this game on my older Ipod Touch and it runs great. I like the new arrows in this version that show the direction toward the enemy and the ships seem more detailed.

The iPad update for this game is fantastic. I've played this on iPod touch, iPhone and now the iPad. While the iPad appears to have higher resolution graphics the game play is the same across all devices. The new controls in this version make the game much easier to play. The added realism features like the animation of the sails and the roll of the ship impacting when to fire the cannons is awesome. The help file is surprisingly useful with detailed instructions, annotated screen shots and really good descriptions of game settings.

The effects of blasting a ship to pieces is still my most enjoyable part of this game, but the new way to control the ship and view makes this a totally different experience - and for the better! If you didn't try it before, it's well worth a try now. This was a great game at 1.0, but the changes to 2.0 make it even better. I'm still using my iPhone 3G to play it and it runs great. Can't wait to see it on my new iPad when I get it this month.

This was a great game on the iPhone, but the iPad version is even better. The newer versions have much improved the game play mechanics, and the level of detail is now much better with wind effects, having to fire your cannons on the up-roll, etc.
