Not for beginners

The first few chapters are easy enough but when they get into later chapters they don't explain things...at all. And there are zero practical use examples. The classes and optionals chapters are infuriating to say the least and some syntax they use goes completely unaddressed which requires you to exit and research for yourself. Unacceptable with a paid program. This is probably good if you have experience in another language and are wanting to get a quick background on swift but there are much better options out there for newbies than this

ADVICE FOR SWIFTY DEVELOPERS...

Totally should add an area for people to test their new skills by typing their own code and running it! It could be a motivator for them as they can add and add onto code like it has been for me!

Amazing

This app is the best free app I have seen, that teaches you how to program in swift in an efficient manner. I already bought all the in-app purchases.

It started off great assuming you know little programming knowledge, and I have only learned a years worth of programming languages, so not that much. The beginning tutorials were pretty good, and it was all free, up to the second chapter of tutorials. Beginning on the third tutorial section and going all the way to every level higher, you have to pay to go through the tutorial, which is pretty annoying. So while the first two free tutorials were pretty good, I am not wanting to buy the next levels. That is why I give it a 3 star rating.

Fun

Works well and is most effective when used with the Mac playground app.
