Must-have for busy surfers

Surfline is the industry standard for checking surf cams and succinct regional reports. Have been using Surfline for over a decade before the apps were even developed and I’m stoked that they’ve continued to innovate and improve their services. Premium is totally worth it. Only downside is the guaranteed crowd any time it’s actually good out, which is a consequence of how accessible and ubiquitous their service has become. Keep it up Surfline ?

Best app out

Could be better but for now it’s the best app available. Love the feature where you can pair with your watch.

If You Surf You Need This App.

This app and website are a vital tool in any Surfers arsenal. If you surf a couple times a week and are starting to travel to different spots you might want to think about Premium. If you are reading reviews about Surfline you are probably new to the sport looking to get into it. So why are you still reading these? Download the app and get out there!!

Great App, one thing to add for watch app

FUPD

Great app, I love the ability to sync sessions and how each wave is displayed over the satellite image. **The one thing I’ve found myself wanting is a watch face complication in order to easily start a session without having to go through my apps and hit start.

Nice

Very good app but the wave sizes are sometimes inaccurate

Surfline is so amazing

Surferdude672

This app is so amazing especially if you have premium. Either way it shows you what you can see at the right time and it gives you all of the information about the day or the forecast ahead. If I can rate it, I would rate at 10 even if it goes to a five.

Great app

Best Surf App/Website I have found

Krazy Glue

I do not surf enough:-( to warrant purchasing the premium but if I did it would be well worth it. As it is, the free/paid by ads use of the app is amazingly generous, and since I don’t surf enough five checks per week is great, since I am constrained more by my work and family schedule than by the best conditions :-( However, as another reviewer posted, I am not interested in surfcams in Hawaii and the Philippines, and even in non-pandemic times I do not chase waves by airplane. As a not even everyday surfer - more like one weekend a month - I would be willing to pay less for a semi-premium access - say 30$/year for no ads for conditions at my two or three local beaches, ads elsewhere. Plus, less obtrusive search/links for if I am ever lucky enough to take a surf vacation again, or for shopping, sponsored by hotels/airlines/equipment vendors. Less frequent, but higher chance of purchase - IIIRC web.ad sellers charge more for such quality clicks. Of course, SurfLine marketing would have to figure out if lost premium sales were offset by increased semi-premium sales. Perhaps you need an experienced marketeer to help you with that? :-)

My kids hate this

From North OC, this website consistently gets the forecast wildly wrong. Like I get it if the reports are a foot or two off, but for example today in North Orange Count (the home of Surfline HQ) it said the waves would be 6-7+ and it is as flat as a lake. I’m not sure who is reading these buoys but I would appreciate it if they took accuracy a little more serious.

The cameras are amazing. Spend the money and get the premium - worth every penny. See places all around the world. Can’t sleep? Watch Nazare live. If you were out surfing you can use rewind and find videos of your waves. The forecasts are a bit iffy but good enough to plan a week out with some pretty good results. A really fantastic app.
