I am enjoying the available content offered by Sundance Now. A few suggestions on user interface on the Apple TV app. There is not a main page for each series, similar to what is available on other OTT services. For instance, there is not one page for The Bureau, which is a landing place where you can find all seasons. Also, when I start a program and then stop before the end, it does not pick up from where I left off. This is a standard feature on most apps.
The movie content looks great, but the APP does NOT work with Apple TV; there's always an error message. No matter how many times you've emailed Support, they never have an answer; they'll keep asking you the same questions and they'll send you an Apple support link, like you don't know how to stream using Apple TV. My Netflix and Mubi Apps work fine, but not this one. What good is it if I can only use it on small devices?
Have tried to cancel for past 4 months. Shows cancelled under my iTunes subscriptions. When I contact Sundance customer support they tell me they are unable to cancel because I subscribed through iTunes! Am cancelling due to busy schedule not lack of interesting programming.
There are a mass of great flicks in this collection. Now, all I need is the time!
Closed captioning is an essential feature that is nowhere to be found! Big bummer considering how great the content is from Sundance :\ They're really neglecting folks who are hard of hearing that require them. An incremental fast forward/rewind feature would be useful as well.
Such a great selections of independent and thoughtful movies, totally worth the low monthly coast. The app is also very well done and easy to use, and technically much better that HBO ux for example. If any developers are listening; how about a coding a 10 second rewind button for easy replay?
Some good off beat Sundance titles but not what it could be as a paid service. Most films are on Netflix already. Why pay double?? Also no download and go feature. Not worth the service fee. Maybe another time.
And needs to get closed captioning in all movies! App works intermittently- normally hangs up, crashes- maybe works after attempt 3. I don't have these issues with Netflix or Amazon video apps
Awesome selection. But sometimes the sidebar just shows up as a blank space. Also it should be easier to add things to your list (depending on how u search, you have to click on the movie before adding it). In short, make the interface more like Netflix/Amazon.
