100% recommended for filmmakers. Even if you are moving to a new place are concerned about the sun hitting your windows.

As a photographer I can walk into a room and know what time exactly light will come through any particular door or window. I can see when and where the sun will rise and set as well as know where the shadows are! Game changer for me!

Whether you’re shooting video or still photos, scripted or documentary, this app is essential. Even more crucial for time lapse shooters. Any weather app can tell you when the sun will rise and set, but this one shows you exactly where with AR overlays using your phone’s camera, so you’ll know precisely when the sun will be blocked by that building. Or you can look at a location map with the sun’s course clearly marked. Must-have when scouting locations for any type of camera work.

Sometimes the app takes a few minutes to orient. I can see the sun, but the app says it’s 30 degrees from where it really is. Once it finally gets oriented it’s great. So, turn it on a while before you really need it.
CinematicImmunity
A Must Have product for production cinematographers, directors or production staff who need to keep their production schedule on track with minimal surprises.

Awesome app to have if you are a videographer or photographer very convenient for when to know how the sun will hit your location, very precise tool

I have used this app for wilderness navigation, and planning the window coverings of my new, to me, residence. It is also perfect for planning solar installations.

I use it to scout for 360 photosphere shoots. Also for where to place outdoor thermometers. Ruled out a backyard garden plot when the 3D view showed the location would remain shaded in the summer.

Awesome app with all the features I could think of including animation of the sun during the year.
