Expensive for how limited it is

Firstly, the color cue on the Apple Watch does not follow the theme. It’s colored for default and white for done/filled, when it should be the other way around — you should color a circle when it is marked as done. Next, the iPhone app itself is very limited. You can’t just tap the circle to mark. You need to long press for some strange, non-standard reason. Tapping shows the other views possible — and you also have to long press to go into graphs and calendar. Very strange UX decisions made in the app, so even after weeks of patiently trying to stick with the app, the gestures and actions are still alien and unfamiliar. Overall, very limited and disappointing.

Sync needs to be much better

I have used this app for over 3 years. Now that I have an iPad and use it on their to sync things I find the sync slow and unreliable. I have different numbers on each device even after turning on and off iCloud sync. I still think it is amazing and has helped me build great habits like reading everyday and walking more.

New habits formed

This app helped me make and keep track of my better choices. I love the tie in with Apple Watch and Health Data. I’ve slowly added cardio, healthy meals, and core exercises into my daily routine and it’s motivating to complete the task and get the check mark.

Pretty Awesome

I can honestly say they this has helped me achieve my goals.

very good!

Really easy to use and nice ui. However, icons will only turn gold when all 6 tasks are finished. This means that i have to set all 6 tasks to make it happen, even if i only need to set 3 or 4 tasks myself. I hope this problem can be fixed.

Nice, could’ve better

Don't get me wrong. I like the Streaks app. Enough so that I purchased both Streaks and Streaks Workout. But… I used them for a few months when I first purchased them, gave up when their shortcomings got too annoying, and have now, 6 months later, decided to try giving Streaks another try. It's marginally better than the first time, but still has frustrating limitations. I would gladly switch to another app but have not yet found a better one. :-( First, Streaks is a "Seinfelder" app - a habit tracker/trainer that is supposed to work by inspiring you to "Don't break the chain", by making a nice big colorful mark on your calendar when you have done the wanted habit on a particular day, and a big X when you have not done so. Inspired by Jerry Seinfeld's advice on how to develop a practice. Streaks is okay as a Seinfelder app. It provides a calendar for each of the 12 habits. However, it does not provide a unified calendar, where you can see all of the habits in the same calendar box. Strange, since Streaks has nice colorful icons for each habit. Also, Streaks does not manage to export these completion indications to Google or iCloud calendars the way similar apps do. Streaks supports "negative" habits. For example, one of my negative habits is "Eating Bad Food" and "Breaking My Diet". A negative habit starts off brightly colored and complete, and turns into an X if you admit to breaking the chain. So far, so good. But, there are really 3 states here: (0) have not yet messed up, (1) messed up, X, and (3) got to end of day without messing up. In the calendar view, these three states are a hollow circle, an X, and a filled circle, respectively. But in the main app view state (0) have not yet messed up is confusingly indicated by the same full color icon that indicates successful completion for a positive task. Streaks allows you to say that you want to do N repeats of a task per day. E.g. I may want to stretch my injured shoulder twice a day, morning and night. And get bonus points if I also stretch at lunch. But Streaks does not understand "bonus points" - it stops counting after your minimum goal is reached. Streaks does not understand that while you may want to "Keep the chain going" any day you complete more than one such task, but that you may also want to TRACK how many times you performed the task. Finally: the big issue: Streaks only supports 12 tasks. 2 groups of 6. In separate iPhone screens that you must hit a non-intuitive button to switch between. I actually prefer the Apple Watch app for streaks, which allows me to swipe and scroll. Note how I called Streaks a habit tracker/trainer? Streaks is probably right in that you can really only TRAIN a small number of habits at a time. One or two. But you can TRACK more things easily. Note that I said "track THINGS", not "track HABITS". Indeed, TRAINing a single habit may involve TRACKing several things. E.g. my sore shoulder: I want to TRAIN the stretching habit to eliminate shoulder pain. So I would like to TRACK shoulder pain, to see if it is less on days that I have stretched. Ditto, RMS "computeritis". I.e. I want to TRACK 2 symptoms, to see if they are improved by TRAINing the habit. And, for that matter, the see if the time of day I do my stretches correlates to the amount of pain. If you say that Streaks is only about training and not tracking - well, it is that much less useful because of that limitation. Hence my seeking a better app. Small Stuff It is good that Streaks has an Apple Watch app. One of the main reasons I tried Streaks again. Streaks supposedly does voice commands using Siri voice Shortcuts, on iPhone and Watch. This worked for about 2 hours, then broke with "Sorry, there was a problem with the app". Can't blame Streaks fir this, many folks report this problem with Siri voice Shortcuts. Streaks' iPhone app interface is pretty, but strange, non-intuitive, and inconsistent. E.g. it doesn't swipe between screens. E.g. X is used for accept changes and return in some places, whereas Done is used in other places. Streaks supports "Do task once every N days", etc. But it does not support "Do task at least M times every N days". I may want to do something at least once or twice a day, but I may want to count how many times I have done it. I.e. count for “don’t break the chain” and count for tracking should be separate. More and more I am making all Streaks items at least count 2 per day. States are 0 - haven’t done anything, 1 did some, and 2 did enough, met or exceeded my goal

Wish it let you track more than 12 habits

Otherwise, it’d be perfect

Bugs
mikeg1307

Nice concept but the app is bugged. Worked fine as long as I had start of the day set at midnight, but when I set it to 4am due to my late work schedule, the app started acting weird. Whenever I set a task as completed between midnight and 4am, it’s competed status only remains until I quite the app. When I reopen the app a few minutes later (still before 4am), the task is again incomplete. That makes this app rather useless for me.

Terrible

I don’t even get the notification I already hooked it up twice and still doesn’t work

Calendar Sync

I personally wish your task would sync with the calendar..
