Love it

Still love it but the new split bars are counter-intuitive and frustrating.

Losing confidence

DorianListens

Strava is a pretty decent app, but recently I’ve really been losing confidence in the accuracy of its data. When I track my runs on my Apple Watch, the summary at the end always shows different results than the results I see on my phone, and sometimes those numbers are different than the ones I see on the web. I can understand there being some difference between the data during a run vs after, but once the run is over, it should really be the same on all platforms. Might be time to switch to run keeper or something else, I guess.

Great for running and cycling... However

RandomUser1111119999

The website offers so much more than the application. I can only start a run or bike from the app. So when I go on mountain hikes I have to go to the website and edit my upload to reflect that. Other running apps are way more flexible and give you the option in the app. There are ~30 other activities on the website but the app offers 2. You also need to go to the website to create your gear for your workouts as the app lacks the functionality.

Works great, BUT..... has some issues

Stangr89

Strava works great but it has some discrepancies after a ride....to name a few.... elevation and calories. Another issue is the “Hazardous Segment” issue. Let’s start with HR and calories. My Garmin Edge 1000 is linked with a HR strap. This, coupled with my Age/Height/Weight is the most accurate way to monitor my HR and calories burnt. At the end of a 5 hour century, Strava will use their algorithm and say I burned 1700 calories when Garmin says its over 5000. 1700 seems way low. Elevation has always been messed up but it seems to be more of a device issue. Strava does let you do an elevation correction but sometimes it’s not for the better. The dreaded HAZARDOUS SEGMENT Anyone can flag a segment “HAZARDOUS” for any reason and it then becomes invisible to all. Why? Most segments are as safe as the day is long....but when someone gets beat and lose their KOM, they get mad and flag as hazardous. Strava should change the way they handle the hazardous segments.....when someone flags a segment, make it so they are the ones that it’s invisible to, not for everyone. When Strava fixes the above issues.....I’ll revisit this review and give it 5 stars.

Add Cadence & Treadmill mode

JROG7

If the Apple Watch can collect cadence from its sensors, please let us see it. Pretty PLEASE? Let us see the pedometer data in the form of cadence!!! Needs treadmill mode...You can do this especially since you are using the pedometer data. Please address for athletes who travel and occasionally have to run indoors!!!

Road vs MTB

Nikojnj

Please make two different Rides to separe the records for me that always run a a mountain bike is almost impossible to beat the records make a a road bike.

Apple Watch App Still Not Up To Par

Nik8118

Great app. But you cannot hear the audio cues through earbuds when you run or bike from the app on the watch. The audio cue comes from your watch. Ugh.

Really good App

MPGec

I use this app every time I run.

Gives my inner nerd an outlet

Data is part of my “why”, and I enjoy being able to track lots of aspects. Even at the free level, Strava does everything I ask it to do.
