Life used to be simple before the update. I’ve yet to figure out how to send a trade or leave a message since the update. Who cares about seeing the cards you recently collected whose format takes up 20% of your screen? When someone sends me a trade there is no indication on my card as to how many I have of it or if the card being offered is a card I need. I lost a week of special holiday cards at Christmas trying to get 22,500 diamonds I purchased credited to my account. When you want to look at your collection of cards the year joined is the default place it starts instead of the current year every time. There is no search box to find sets you are working on to see what cards you need to finish the set, instead you have to scroll through sets listed alphabetically. I would say at this point the app is different but in no way better.

Money Grab

G1bbs

This app is a money grab. The cards you can collect for free are not the best cards in the game. The cards that people want can only be obtained by purchasing game credits with real money. 5 years ago when this started, it was by fans for fans. Now all the real Star Wars fans have moved on and the community is not what it used to be. Do t get hooked. Avoid the app.

Rating discourages wanting to trade.

I enjoy collecting cards and so I thought I would have a fun time here but I noticed that trades can be difficult when starting out. The biggest problem I dislike is when I initiate a trade, if the person does not like what I’m offering or asking for then they are quick to close and rate you a one star. All trades revolve around a one to five star rating which I feel can be unfair. Ratings should occur after a completed trade and not based on someone attempting to trade. Too many people in this community are quick to one star and they almost never revise or communicate to make a counter offer or say what they really want. This rating system is on all Topps apps and it can be discouraging for players to want to trade. I would love to see the rating system improved to prevent people from doing quick one star on people trying to work out trades. Or to just remove the rating system all together. Another thing I dislike which seems to be on the Star Wars app is there is no opportunity to obtain top cards with credits. (In game currency). When cards are released there is a chance to get uncommon and rare cards but there is no opportunity to obtain higher tier unless you use crystals which is paid with money. I understand crystals can also be obtained at lock on and at random but receiving only two here and there at a slow rate will never be saved in less than a year. In other Topps apps like Bunt and Marvel there’s is an opportunity to obtain high tier cards with currency at a low rate and seeing that makes it worth saving and trying to get lucky and find something great. I would love to see that here on Star Wars as well. Having that opportunity would make the game feel rewarding. I feel this game would be an easy 5 star if what I’ve mentioned were changed or improved.

Now Topps has taken to juicing the ratings for this terrible app

Mollyev

This app is an absolute mess. Not even a tenth as fun as it was when it began. It takes up far too much space on my phone, it is far too complicated for what it is, and not too long ago it had horrible ratings on the App Store. Now it is a 4.2 out of 5 when the updates have made it worse? It’s like Topps they made all their employees and families write glowing reviews on this dumpster fire of an app. Pathetic!

Had to uninstall

lunakat914

After 24 hours of “maintenance mode” I uninstalled it really disappointed

Latest update

Myers1122

Thank goodness for 2020 cards. It was getting old seeing the same old base cards. New inserts are great. I enjoyed trading but the new update makes it almost impossible. I dumped marvel for this same reason....very hard to trade. I can’t figure out what cards are dupes, if the reade has cards I need etc.

Was Awesome

I love is so aaaawesome

“Really good Star Wars fans come in fan name pajoli” Was my old review. Don’t understand it. But now with new p2w currency creations this game has lost it’s touch. I remember when Lalo played. Those were the days.

Not good.

My Expert Opinion

This app has steadily declined over the years, but that process really accelerated with the latest version. What was once a fun, functioning trading app has become a complete mess. The community has evaporated and the folks running the app seem completely incompetent. The worst part is that even while basic features like receiving cards from packs and trading are degraded or broken, they keep churning out paid content. Like many long time users, I’m now biding my time until I can make a graceful exit. Sad state of affairs for a hobby that once meant something to me.
