If you like bugs and crashing every three minutes, then not do I have the app for you

Huge pricing mistake

Fan frenzy 4.99 = 1,225 crystals Daily deal 4.99= 1,200 crystals Beyond insulting plus reinforced why I deleted the app. Only downloaded again so I could look at the cards I payed for with my hard earned cash. Officially deleted app after 1 full year. Too expensive just to chase one full set. Not saying I can’t afford to- just can’t justify the cost as per my weekly budget for jpegs. Not fun. Too much to mention. Don’t even get me started on odds with crystals (money). I fully understand the coin flip analogy on odds. When it takes 11 cracks on a 1:5 at 225 crystals a pack- I can’t justify the cost. Or that time it took 35 cracks on a 1:15 at 95 crystals- I’m done.

It’s a pay to play game once the gems came in

Greed is the path to the dark side

SDTV!!!!

Where do I start, this app used to be really fun. I’ve been playing for three years witnessing TOPPS go down a path I cannot follow anymore. This game has turned completely pay to win which is absurd in a card COLLECTING game. Ever since they introduced Crystals into the game there has been a lot of people who have been alienated and excluded from any of the new content and packs. I understand TOPPS is a business and that they need to make money from the content that they produce. However, limiting packs to crystals only is RIDICULOUS there is no feasible way to acquire crystals from a F2P stand point and THAT is my biggest gripe. I along with others are sitting on millions and millions of credits (which used to be the old currency before they introduced crystals) that are now completely WORTHLESS. To add insult to injury TOPPS lies to their player base by saying for a measly fee of .99 cents you can have access to new packs, what’s the point of having access to packs if they are only purchasable by crystals which are not obtainable without having to spend real money on them. Now I could go on with the plethora of things that are wrong about the app, like the lack of optimization even on the new iPhone X but this review would never end. If you guys are willing to put up with BLATANT separation and ELITISM that TOPPS exercises then go ahead and download the app. It’s sad to say that it is no longer F2P friendly. This app used to bring me fun and joy but the lack of self awareness and greed of TOPPS is turning a loyal customer away. I for one am no longer going to support this app financially, because this is how F2P dies with thunderous applause.

Not worth it anymore

All the nicknames are taken ?

I used to use this app a lot . I really liked collecting cards and seeing the new packs that come out. Now i cant enjoy the collection anymore. I have over 2 million credits ( currency) in the game at the moment and can not use them because ever card that comes out needs crystals to buy them. Crystals can only be purchased with money which obviously is not worth doing. There is no reason for every single pack to only be able to be purchased by money in a virtual card game . Do not waste your time.

An ode to capitalism.

Like most freemium apps this card trader started out a healthy mix of free currency and card to pay to play content. It seems like every six months the dark side grows stronger and stronger in this app. First real money currency became a necessity for 95% of the trades. Then the odds for inserts became thinner and thinner. And Then the amount of monetized currency needed for trades went up.

Not worth it.

Once was fun. Now you have to pay crazy amounts of money to participate in any real way. Not worth it. IN RESPONSE TO THE DEVELOPER RESPONSE: I played this game for 3 years. With the advent of crystals it not only meant that the only way to get any cards worth anything was to spend a ridiculous amount of real money, but it also meant that people in the Trade feed really tightened up on what they were willing to trade. Topps took an extremely fun app and turned it into a cash cow for themselves. This is driving once loyal fans away and leaving it to a few who can buy cards but won’t trade them for anything that you can get without a purchase. This is Topps’ greedy fault. Stay away from this game. The only way I’ll go back is if they remove the crystal system and bring it back to daily free credits that you can either supplement with Tapjoy or the occasional real money purchase if you choose.

I have been playing for 3 years. The app is good, HOWEVER customer service (and you will need them at some point) is abysmal. Topps only motivation in this app is to get you to spend money. AND once you do they don't care if you don't get what you pay for. Just google complaints about their support and money grab philosophy. Stay away unless you can afford hundreds of dollars a week
