Too frustrating

Katm219

It seems like there is just one mode. Very frustrating because it's hard to get the hang of it. I'm really sorry I spent the money. Please make a slow mode!

Awful game

Shackleford-Rusty

Sounds like a fun concept on paper, but it's not. You'll constantly fail for reasons beyond your control, thanks to the randomized levels. You'll run into walls and holes far too often, because you simply can't react quickly enough, or your character won't jump. Felt completely repetative within 5 minutes.

I WANT MY 2$ BACK

You'll keep losing for no reason, and also, it doesn't have any levels. It's just plain boring. Should've been free.

An enjoyable game with somewhat awkward controls

Overall this a pretty fun game with some of the usual downsides of touch-based games. The game can feel a bit repetitive, but this is alleviated somewhat by the randomly generated levels. And it looks like once you reach a certain score, you begin to unlock some other characters. The controls are a bit awkward. I never feel like I'm in great control of what's going on. I don't think this is fully the fault of the game. Part of it is just the reality of playing a game on a touch screen. This game can become pretty fast paced and require some quick and precise inputs to get past certain parts, and our dumb imprecise fingers on a relatively small screen can make this a challenge - and not a fun one. I've found my right pointer finger to be easiest to use, and of course then I'm covering the right half of the screen with my hand as I play, limiting how far ahead I can see the terrain that's coming. Again, just a reality of touchscreen games. I would say the game has at least one problem of occasionally throwing walls at you that seemingly go down too far for you to get under, leading to an instant game over. The game is tough enough without that, so running into them can be pretty discouraging. It isn't clear if this is a bug, or if you actually can pull the ground down far enough, but the small lip of my phone case prevents me from micro-managing the very edge of my phone screen. Hopefully the controls and levels are tweaked in future updates to prevent things like this.

Randomly generated.

Ryanxl

I didn't realize this was randomly generated. Played for a few minutes... gets... very... boring. Fast. Any items? Anything? No? Boring!

Big Bucket delivers again

Really fun game with an *amazing* soundtrack!

Spectacular.

This is a perfect game for the iPhone. Challenging, well designed, fun as all get out. I love it. Theme song is amazing too.

Relaxing and beautiful

Stagehand is a gosh darn delight. Can't say enough great things about the pixel art and the music. Then you get into the gameplay, and you realize that's just as thoughtful. At first you struggle to move the platforms around to keep Frank alive, but soon enough, you can feel yourself learning how to quickly react to the stage as it comes at you, and eventually the game becomes a relaxing, zenlike experience. Once you reach that point, this game is perfect to play while listening to an audiobook or podcast. Highly recommended.

It is good

I'm infuriatingly bad at this game, but it's well designed and the music is fantastic. Even if you only play it once, the music and the message stickers are totally worth $2.

Instant classic

@mknepprath

This is what Mario Run should have been - fun, cute, clever, and extremely easy to understand while also being a challenging game. Absolutely worth your time.
