Spout has been offline for a while. There is a beta that actually works with a new server side structure, and a handful of us are testing it. I am optimistic for the future . It will be a while longer folks.

Hello, I am unable to open the app because every time I click it, I get the following message: An SSL error has occurred and a secure connection to the server cannot be made. Is there any way around this?

Before taking down the app tell people you're making updates to the app and that you're beta testing it with a small group instead of leaving others to wonder what's going on

Why do I keep getting “An SSL error has occurred and a secure connection cannot be made.” error message when I try to use spout?

We’ve been patient .. but why is it taking so long to fix this app?? I know why, it’s because you don’t care. Well now I don’t care either. Officially giving up on spout, goodbye

Even when it did work, it kind of sucked. There were never more than maybe two or three dozen unique users. Comments weren't threaded so there was often confusion. Moderation and community guidelines were typical left coast millennial capriciousness. If you got a suspension, they wouldn't tell you what post did it or what was wrong with it. This app is trash. Don't give it another chance.

Garbage app that used to have potential. Spout HQ, however, is very active on Twitter, and apparently they’ve abandoned this app.

Whoever made this app, they seem to have forgotten that it ever existed.

Was enjoyable for a while but like any other anon app it was sadly infiltrated by people just looking to spread hate and negativity. Additionally one user/dev “obvi” was obnoxiously egotistical and ironically became one of the worst parts of the app they were trying to promote. To be fair, I cant blame the app itself for its users but towards the end of 2018 I began receiving an error that made the app unusable so I inevitably had to delete it. According to other reviews nothing has changed so im not sure why this “dead” app is even still available for download
